• Naruto tested the Time-Stop Barrier with a Nine-Tails chakra arm and realized it only froze a living being or complete chakra construct once the barrier fully enveloped it.
• Naruto used Sage Art: Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands to attack through the barrier while his clone tracked Obito inside the spacetime dimension.
• Naruto’s clone struck Obito with the Kōkinjō and left a Flying Thunder God Mark, allowing the Seven Star Sword to sever Obito’s word spirit and Naruto to capture it with the Benihisago.

• Hashirama’s enlarged True Several Thousand Hands defeated Madara’s, but Madara targeted the Flying Nimbus with Yasaka Magatama.
• Hashirama shielded A-Yun from Madara’s attack, and A-Yun rescued him from the Gate of the Great God before Hashirama regenerated.
• After A-Yun drenched Madara and flew away, Hashirama offered to put their old conflicts behind them and stand together again.
• Madara clasped Hashirama’s hand, then used the Flying Thunder God Technique to send him to a distant island and teleport away.

Sasuke and Kabuto fought Hiruzen, and Sasuke defeated him before confronting Hashirama and demanding that he destroy Konoha to deliver justice for the Uchiha. Meanwhile, Naruto's Mantra Diadem broke Obito's resistance until Obito begged him to stop.

• Sasuke dismissed Susanoo and used Wood Release techniques to fight Hiruzen at close range while Kabuto stayed out of danger.
• Hiruzen countered with Water, Earth, Lightning, Wind, and Fire Release attacks, but Sasuke used Susanoo, Amaterasu, and Moga Bera to overpower him and bury him beneath the battlefield.
• Hashirama and Tobirama returned, and Hashirama asked Sasuke about his history and promised to see justice done for the Uchiha.
• Sasuke demanded that Hashirama raze Konoha, then attacked him with Susanoo's great sword when Hashirama did not immediately agree.

After defeating Obito, Naruto challenged his despair and urged him to make amends rather than die. As Madara Uchiha arrived, Obito accepted Naruto’s offered fist, while Minato Namikaze and Konan moved to keep Madara from interrupting.

• Naruto stopped his incantation after Obito begged for mercy, and Obito admitted defeat and said he would order Tsuchima to stop.
• Obito explained that seeing Rin had shaken his resolve, but he refused Naruto’s offer to bring her back and said he would rather let her rest in the Pure Land.

Black Zetsu revealed that he had taken over Tsuchima, drained Madara’s sage power, and unleashed a massive attack against Naruto and Obito. As they faced the seemingly unavoidable assault, Kurama offered Naruto help if he apologized for their earlier disagreement.

• Black Zetsu admitted that he had tampered with Madara’s resurrection body, immobilized him with Black Spores, and stole his sage power through Black Tsuchima.
• Black Tsuchima attacked Minato, but Naruto intervened and helped Minato escape with Konan while Obito stayed behind.

• Naruto used the Mountain Earth Technique to close the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path's split body, and Black Zetsu restored it by exhausting Tsuchima's sage power and vitality.
• Naruto summoned the statue from Tsuchima, and Tsuchima's dormant will awakened and helped break Black Zetsu's hold.

Naruto created a new White Zetsu named A-Juan and arranged to hide the Demonic Statue in Amegakure while Obito returned several sealed objects and Naruto Uzumaki. Outside the River of the Undying, Sasuke attacked the fallen Madara, who took Sasuke’s left eye and implanted it in himself.

• Naruto tasted the Demonic Statue’s essence, used Futsunomitama to create a White Zetsu, and named it A-Juan.
• Naruto and Obito agreed to hide the Demonic Statue underground in Amegakure until Orochimaru could find a way to revive the Ten-Tails while preserving the Tailed Beasts’ consciousnesses.
• Obito returned Naruto Uzumaki, the Amber Purifying Pot, the Kōkinjō, and the Gates of the Great God from his spacetime dimension.
• Hashirama stopped Tobirama from killing Sasuke, while Kabuto urged Sasuke to retreat after the Second rescued Hiruzen.

Madara took Sasuke’s left eye, but Kabuto saved him with the White Snake Sage’s talisman while Tobirama trapped Madara in the deep sea. After learning Kabuto was fatally injured and that Naruto was Asura’s reincarnation, Sasuke resolved to take Kabuto to Konoha for Tsunade to heal him.

• Madara removed Sasuke’s left eye and moved to take his right, but Kabuto used the White Rage Technique to pull Sasuke away.
• Madara struck at Kabuto and Sasuke with Amaterasu and Moga Bera, but the Life-Saving Talisman teleported them to safety.
• Tobirama used Water Release: Earth Devours Heaven to trap Madara in the deep sea, where Madara sank under the pressure.
• Sasuke woke in a cave and learned from Kabuto that the talisman had saved them, but Kabuto’s back was badly burned by Amaterasu.
• Kabuto told Sasuke that Black Zetsu had identified Naruto as Asura’s true reincarnation and urged Sasuke to leave him behind.

Naruto showed Hashirama, Tobirama, Hiruzen, and Minato a projection of the catastrophic future he had experienced, in which Shinshiki Ōtsutsuki annihilated the Allied Shinobi Forces and killed Naruto’s loved ones. The chapter ended with Naruto explaining that he had died in that future, escaped time’s shackles, and been reborn in the present era.

• Naruto arranged a meeting with the four Hokage in Amegakure and used special glasses and a projection system to show them a future battle.
• Naruto’s projection identified Shinshiki Ōtsutsuki as the enemy who had threatened the shinobi world.
• The Allied Shinobi Forces attacked Shinshiki, but their weapons and techniques could not penetrate his defenses.
• Rock Lee used the Eight Gates Released Formation and died after Shinshiki blocked his Curtain Call technique.

• Obito told Tobi he chose to remain in his Impure World Reincarnation body and prepared to meet Naruto and the Hokage.
• Naruto, Konan, and the four Hokage arrived at Amegakure's tower, where Obito knelt before Minato and asked to atone.
• Minato forgave Obito and helped him to his feet, while Obito admitted his remorse.
• Kushina possessed Naruto, forgave Obito for the wrongs against her family, and urged him to build a new life through his actions.
• At dawn, Sasuke appeared in the forest outside Konoha, pushing Kabuto in a wheelchair.

Sasuke returned to Konoha with Kabuto and pleaded with Tsunade to treat him, even kneeling and threatening to kill himself when she refused. Kabuto then offered to return a surviving Senju child and the resurrected Might Guy to Konoha as atonement.

• Sasuke fought off Konoha Anbu without killing them and used genjutsu to send one to deliver his request to Tsunade.
• Tsunade met Sasuke at the village’s edge, where he asked her to treat the injured Kabuto.
• Sasuke knelt before Tsunade, but she refused and ordered him to leave Konoha’s territory.

While Tsunade secretly treated Kabuto, Shikaku spoke privately with the shackled Sasuke about his hatred and the people he might still hurt. Sasuke was left contemplating Shikaku’s warning to leave himself a way back before he caused irreparable harm.

• Tsunade began secretly treating Kabuto at an empty house outside Konoha while Sasuke waited blindfolded and shackled nearby.
• Shikaku dismissed the guards to a distant spot and asked Sasuke whether he regretted his choices.
• Sasuke said he regretted being too weak to control events, and Shikaku recognized that he had only set aside his hatred temporarily.
• Shikaku reminded Sasuke that innocent people in Konoha bore no guilt for the Uchiha Clan Massacre and that attacking them would only cause more harm.
• Shikaku urged Sasuke not to hurt those trying to bring him back and warned him to leave room to turn back.
• Sasuke fell silent and began considering Shikaku’s advice as the house door opened.

Sasuke left Konoha with Kabuto after Tsunade saved him, while Shikaku revealed that Konoha’s advisors might be plotting with Root to remove Tsunade. Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu then met with Aburame Ryoma and asked for his help in their plans concerning Hinata Hyuga.

• Tsunade told Sasuke that Kabuto’s surgery had succeeded, and Sasuke used Kabuto’s blood to summon the reincarnated Might Guy before leaving Konoha with Kabuto.
• Sasuke promised not to attack Konoha while Tsunade remained Hokage, and Tsunade sent guards to retrieve the orphaned Senju child at the location Kabuto had provided.
• Shikaku told Tsunade that Naruto’s clone had found signs that Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu were conspiring with Root to install another Hokage.
• Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu met Aburame Ryoma, who revealed that he had captured Yamanaka Fū and Aburame Tōrune and proposed that Hinata Hyuga was central to their plans.

• Mito Uzumaki told Tobirama she had adapted the Reverse Four Symbols Seal for reincarnated bodies but still needed help with the Reaper Death Seal, and he agreed to assist her.
• Captain Yamato discovered Tobi hiding in his toilet, and Tobi teased him about his spending before Yamato screamed.

Naruto and Obito sent A-Juan and Tobi to Konoha to protect Hinata, giving them gifts and instructions to avoid drawing attention. After they left, Naruto and Obito discussed the eye A-Juan received and considered reviving its former owner, while Obito decided to visit an old acquaintance.

• Obito gave A-Juan a Sharingan, and she replaced her right eye with it.

• Itachi and Kisame told Naruto that Tanuki Shinraku was hiding in a village in the Land of Water, and Naruto warned them not to summon the Bull-Headed Heavenly King.
• Naruto promised Itachi he would recover Sasuke’s eye from Madara, and Itachi asked him to send greetings to Jiraiya.

Obito gave Kakashi both Sharingan and reunited him with a recreated Rin, asking him to protect her while Obito protected the world. As Kakashi returned to Konoha, Root’s Aburame Ryoma plotted to make him Hokage and control him.

• Obito implanted both Sharingan in Kakashi, tested his new Mangekyō ability, and revealed he had joined Naruto’s side after losing to him.
• Obito explained that Naruto had given Rin’s remains a soul modeled on the living Rin, and asked Kakashi to protect her.
• Kakashi agreed to stand with Obito, who left through Kamui; Kakashi then decided his vacation was over and returned to the village.
• Three days earlier, Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu asked Aburame Ryoma to arrange Kakashi’s succession as Hokage before he returned.
• After the advisers left, Ryoma planned to make Kakashi a puppet and considered sending Tanuki Shinraku and the Bull-Headed Heavenly King to lead Root members in the Land of Water.

Hinata learned that A-Juan, created by Naruto, had come to protect her from danger and discovered a possible conspiracy surrounding Konoha’s upcoming celebration. Meanwhile, Kakashi and Rin were ambushed by Root remnants in the Land of Water, as Kisame and Itachi watched and prepared to act.

• A-Juan revealed herself to Hinata and explained that Naruto had created her with a dōjutsu and sent her to protect Hinata.
• Hinata hid a miniature A-Juan in her clothing and told her about the dignitary’s visit and Konoha’s celebration the following evening.
• Kakashi and Rin encountered disguised Root remnants near the harbor, and Kakashi exposed their identities with his Sharingan.
• The Root remnants attacked with explosive-tag kunai, and Kakashi sent Rin into his right-eye space-time vortex to protect her.
• Kisame and Itachi watched from above, and Itachi said he would act if Kakashi summoned the Bull-Headed Heavenly King.

Kakashi Hatake fought Tanuki Shinraku’s Root squad in a mountain ravine and used his Mangekyō abilities to overcome their ambush. After Kakashi killed Yamanaka Muren with Kamui, the surviving Root ninja were left stunned.

• Tanuki Shinraku ordered the Root ninja to attack Kakashi with ranged weapons through Ding Mao’s Hidden Mist Technique.
• Kakashi used his Mangekyō’s intangibility to counter the attacks and kill several Root members.
• Kakashi combined Kamui with Fire Release: Blast Wave Wild Dance to clear the mist and burn more than a dozen Root ninja.
• Tanuki Shinraku sent Yamanaka Muren to use the Mind Body Switch Technique, but Kakashi’s right-eye dōjutsu made him immune to mental control.

Itachi and Kisame captured Tanuki and sealed the Bull-Headed Heavenly King, while Kakashi and Rin were left to recover and continue toward the Land of Fire.

• Kakashi used Great Debate to study Tanuki Shinraku, then charged through the Root members with Lightning Blade but collapsed when his chakra ran out.
• Tanuki ordered the Root members to attack Kakashi, but Obito’s stored chakra activated Susanoo and let Kakashi destroy most of them with Kamui Shuriken: Fragments.
• Tanuki tried to unleash the Bull-Headed Heavenly King, but Itachi stopped him with a shuriken and Tsukuyomi, then sealed the mark on his back.

• Shikaku Nara told Tsunade he suspected the advisers planned to target Hinata and chose to let them proceed so their crimes could be exposed.
• Tsunade agreed to trust Shikaku’s belief that Naruto had secretly sent people to protect Hinata.

Root operatives used Aburame Ryoma’s poisonous insects to ambush Hinata, but she shielded herself and her companions with a new Tenseigan technique and freed Natsu Hyuga from the insects’ control. With the attack foiled, Tobi and A-Juan prepared to test their new abilities against the Root operatives.

• Root operatives infiltrated the Hyuga compound, poisoned Natsu Hyuga, and used her Byakugan to find Hinata at the training grounds.
• The operatives trapped Hinata, A-Juan, and Tobi inside a Four Violet Flames Formation and released poisonous insects throughout the barrier.
• Hinata used Tenseigan Observation Mode to see the insects, then deployed her Tenseigan Shield Technique until the insects died.
• Hinata pulled Natsu to safety and used Tenseigan: Mind Sphere to kill the insects in her brain, restoring Natsu’s senses.
