A-Juan and Tobi fought a Root squad sent after them, using their strange abilities to overwhelm the attackers. As Tobi prepared to unleash a foul secret technique, A-Juan said they would leave a few Root members alive to interrogate them about the mastermind.

• A-Juan used her Dōjutsu to strip the Root members of their clothes and equipment, while their captain Shimura Mai revealed that Shimura Danzō was her biological father and secretly let the others charge ahead.
• The Root members attacked with ninjutsu, and a fighter with Steel Release shattered Tobi’s Wood Locking Wall.
