Background / History

Kaguya was sent alone to Azure/Earth by her elder sister, Ōtsutsuki Amaterasu, to secure an achievement for the Ōtsutsuki clan. At the time, she regarded the planet as a source of Chakra energy rather than a home, intending to plant a God Tree and drain the world’s energy. Her original plan also included creating White Zetsu. 19 245

During her first arrival on Earth, Kaguya possessed only basic ocular techniques and lacked her later physical strength. Ye Liang encountered her in the forest, recognized that he had reached the era of her initial descent, and brought her to his estate. There, Kaguya recovered a God Tree seed from the meteorite at her landing site. 183 184

Kaguya rejected Isshiki’s distrustful warnings about Earth and showed contempt for what she considered cowardice. Her connection to the God Tree was later severed, leaving her ocular powers dependent on physical stamina rather than an unlimited energy source. 184 187
