Chu Yilan was dragged off by Feng Yueshan to drink, so Shen Lian chatted with Chen Mu and the others over a fruit platter.
After Chen Mu said a couple of things, Shen Lian noticed something was off. "Got a cold?"
"Yeah," Chen Mu replied. "But it's nothing serious. I've taken medicine."
"And Feng Yueshan still brought you out?"
"I'm not made of paper." Chen Mu smiled. "It's my day off. I couldn't stand staying home."
"Just keep covering for him, why don't you," Sun Binghe said darkly.
Sun Binghe remained deeply bothered by how rose-tinted Chen Mu's view of Feng Yueshan was. He always felt as though a prize cabbage had been rooted up by a pig, and he wasn't happy about it.
Chen Mu tucked his neck in and sat still.
Shen Lian laughed. Assistant Sun really knew how to intimidate people.
