In the end, the representative of the Wasteland Mage Association led his people away aboard a small, hundred-meter-long vessel, likewise powered by magic stones.
He had no choice.
He was outclassed!
Someone who could instantly cast [Fireball] above Tier Three was far beyond him!
Never mind instant casting.
His own [Fireball] was still only Tier One.
It measured barely a dozen centimeters across.
According to Mage Association theory, raising a spell's tier did not necessarily improve its effectiveness.
But A Ken had raised [Fireball], a basic Tier One, Level One spell, beyond Tier Three. That spoke of tremendous talent and abundant resources...
And the [Fireball] in A Ken's hands was remarkably powerful!
From that glimpse alone, Aris, the Mage Association representative, dared not imagine how strong A Ken really was.
Nor could he imagine how many resources A Ken had consumed to reach that level...
His teacher had once told him that their Wasteland Mage Association was inferior to A Ken's association.
Aris had been reluctant to accept it.
Only now did a jumble of emotions fill his heart, bitterness showing on his face.
Inferior? He could not even see a path toward catching up...
And so, Aris led over a hundred members of the Wasteland Mage Association on an aimless search across the ocean.
Had A Ken not tossed him a set of "coordinates" before he left, Aris probably would have gotten lost at sea.
Though his search was aimless, his course took him along the Shak Kingdom's route toward the isolated island where Chaos City stood...
Two days later.
Aris was in the uppermost cabin, pondering just how vast the gap between himself and A Ken was, when a subordinate suddenly brought him news...
