The Lunar Star.
Two streaks of blazing golden light appeared above the Lunar Star.
As the golden light stopped, two suns seemed to circle above the Lunar Star, and the bitterly cold star actually began to thaw.
A closer look revealed that those two suns were two Three-Legged Golden Crows circling in the sky.
"Di Jun (Taiyi) of the Demon Race has come to pay his respects to the Lunar Goddesses. Fellow Daoists, please come out to meet us."
Their mighty voices, filled with majesty, reverberated across the entire Lunar Star.
"Sister, they're here."
Inside Guanghan Palace on the Lunar Star, Xihe and her sister sensed Di Jun and Taiyi's arrival immediately. Changxi tugged at Xihe's long sleeve, and Xihe caught her hand in her own delicate fingers, saying solemnly, "We proceed according to plan."
"Mm."
Changxi nodded slightly. Immortal qi drifted beneath their feet, and the two women mounted an auspicious cloud and floated out beyond the Lunar Star.
"Di Jun (Taiyi) greets you, fellow Daoists."
Upon seeing Changxi and Xihe, Di Jun and Taiyi exchanged a glance, then both offered the women a Daoist salute.
The Lunar Star and the Sun Star were both principal stars of the Primordial World. As their respective rulers, born in the same era, Xihe and Changxi deserved to be addressed as fellow Daoists, even though their cultivation was somewhat inferior to that of the two brothers.
"You have traveled far, fellow Daoists. Why not come into our Guanghan Palace to rest awhile and enjoy a cup of Moon-Hanging Tea before we discuss matters?"
The two women returned the brothers' Daoist salute, then Xihe graciously extended her invitation.
Di Jun secretly rejoiced at this, convinced that Xihe treated him this way because she had fallen for him. Eastern Emperor Taiyi thought the same.
