In fact, it was simple: they would start with lower-star missions instead of taking higher-star ones as they had before. That way, they could evade the Dragon Race cultivators' searches while still completing missions and gathering some experience first...
Of course!
This was also a rather conservative approach. Low-star missions were generally easier to complete, but naturally offered very little merit and still took considerable time. As a result, few cultivators undertook them, especially missions that required venturing into areas where the Demon Race operated. Those took even more time and were fairly dangerous. Although the Demon Race and the Human Race were allies in the Thirty-Three Star Realm, if enough Demon Race cultivators surrounded them, they might well kill them and seize their treasures...
One thing had to be mentioned: on the Race Battlefield, killing others and seizing their treasures was actually encouraged. Regardless of the circumstances, killing a cultivator of another race earned rewards. As the Daode Daoist Patriarch had previously told Li Xiaoya, killing a Great Void Stage cultivator earned one thousand battlefield merit, killing a Heaven-and-Earth Realm cultivator earned fifty thousand, and killing a Mighty One Stage cultivator earned one million!
However, one point deserved mention!
What the Daode Daoist Patriarch had said back then was that killing a Great Void Stage cultivator earned ten thousand race contribution points, killing a Heaven-and-Earth Realm cultivator earned five hundred thousand, and killing a Mighty One Stage cultivator earned ten million!
There was actually no discrepancy!
Practically everything earned on the Race Battlefield was merit, but that also represented a contribution to one's race. It did not mean that one directly received both merit and race contribution points...
That was because battlefield merit could be exchanged for race contribution points.
Killing a cultivator did not directly award race contribution
