"You know?" all three asked in unison. Not only Ouyang Haotian and Lingyu, but even Li Xiaoya cried out in surprise. He certainly did not remember telling Blue Ice about his Immortal Dao Chain.
"Yes! I was wondering whether those cultivators from the Heavenly Earth Demon Sect had their eyes on Fellow Daoist Li's Artifact Refining skills. After all, he's a grandmaster who has refined an exceptional-grade magic treasure!" Blue Ice ventured, sounding less than certain.
"That can't be it, can it?" Li Xiaoya said, shaking his head, unsure whether to laugh or cry. Inwardly, however, he breathed a sigh of relief.
"No! That actually seems quite possible!" Ouyang Haotian said. Whether he was flattering Blue Ice or genuinely believed it, no one could tell. He continued, "Think about it. Xiao Ya can already refine exceptional-grade magic treasures at the Golden Core Stage. Although the Heavenly Earth Demon Sect has plenty of Artifact Refiners, not one can compare with Old Man Long of our Mystic Heaven Way. An artifact-refining grandmaster is an extraordinary asset to any sect!"
"Is that really it? Ah! No wonder they said they wanted to capture me alive!" Li Xiaoya said, steering his boat with the current. "I thought they'd mistaken me for someone else!"
"Hmph! Though that's somewhat possible, I imagine you have something else on you that would be useful to them, don't you?" Ouyang Haotian snorted, apparently noticing something less than honest in Li Xiaoya's words.
"Ah, who cares what they want? As long as Fellow Daoist Li doesn't let them get their way!" Blue Ice interjected. After a pause, she changed the subject. "By the way, Senior, where are we going now?"
