Li Xiaoya rescued Liu Qingshan and helped his companions survive the Demonic Path’s pursuit as Dong Gu Nü’s formation trapped Jin Zhan’s forces. When the formations collapsed, the group fled into Ancient Demon Mountain, where Li Xiaoya tried to use the Demon Beasts to mislead their pursuers.

• Li Xiaoya’s group hid behind Dong Gu Nü’s formation while Sun Xing held Liu Qingshan captive, and Li Xiaoya exposed Ma Weiqi’s theft of the Fire Dragon Sword.
• Sun Xing tortured Wang Qishan to death and captured his primordial spirit, then forced Li Xiaoya to bargain for Liu Qingshan’s release.
• Li Xiaoya pulled Liu Qingshan to safety and fought Sun Xing while Dong Gu Nü’s Five-Elements Reversal Formation trapped Jin Zhan and the other Demonic Path cultivators.
• Zhang Hong treated Liu Qingshan as Li Xiaoya recovered, while Li Yuer created a second formation that pressed against Dong Gu Nü’s barrier.

After Liu Qingshan died in the Millennium Beast Calamity, Li Xiaoya led his companions toward the Rear Mountain Pagoda and faced the Black Qilin and its demon beasts. The group reached a golden hall, where they began searching for a way out.

• Li Xiaoya’s group hid from the demon-beast stampede, and Li Xiaoya mourned Liu Qingshan while Huang Hua explained the history of Ancient Demon Mountain and the Rear Mountain Pagoda.
• Li Xiaoya set out for the Rear Mountain Pagoda with Zhang Hong, Li Xiangxiang, Ma Weiqi, and Dong Gu Nü, and they found several caches of treasures in cliffside caves.
• The Black Qilin surrounded the group with demon beasts, and Li Xiaoya fought through them with the Fire Dragon Sword before the sword’s roar hurled everyone away.
• Li Xiaoya reunited with his companions and led them up a mountain path as the Black Qilin and Steel-armored Beetles pursued them through increasing gravity.
• Li Xiaoya used the Fire Dragon Sword and a Fire Serpent to slow the beetles, then split the stairs beneath their cocoons and rescued his companions as the Black Qilin attacked.
• Li Xiaoya carried the injured group toward the golden summit while black lightning struck Ancient Demon Mountain and the Southwestern Ancient City.
• A force swept Li Xiaoya and his companions into a vast golden hall, where they recovered and began examining the room for an exit.

Ma Weiqi betrayed Li Xiaoya and left him and Zhang Hong trapped in a sealed chamber, while Shao Shiqi rescued the survivors and Heavenly Venerable Daoling sought help from the Black Qilin. Li Xiaoya and Zhang Hong uncovered valuable pills and worked together to weaken the chamber wall, but its ability to repair itself still blocked their escape.

• Ma Weiqi opened the Artifact Refining Room, then attacked Li Xiaoya and Zhang Hong as its door closed and turned on Dong Gu Nü and Li Xiangxiang outside.
• Ma Weiqi escaped the sinking Southwestern Ancient City with stolen treasures and Li Xiaoya’s White Pearl, then fled Huang Hua and Dong Gu Nü after their fight.
• Shao Shiqi healed Li Xiangxiang, learned of Ma Weiqi’s betrayal, and returned to the sect with her, Dong Gu Nü, and Huang Hua.
• Ma Weiqi deceived Feng Chenzi about Li Xiaoya and agreed to become his disciple in exchange for cultivation instruction and a promise to free him.
• Li Xiaoya and Zhang Hong opened the cauldron and caught its Yin-Yang Spirit-Gathering Pills, then agreed to keep cultivating while they searched for an escape.
• Heavenly Venerable Daoling found the ruined city and arranged with the Black Qilin to help rescue Li Xiaoya in exchange for Ten-Thousand-Year Spirit Liquid.
• Li Xiaoya and Zhang Hong discussed Zhang Hong’s grief over Liu Hang and her fear of being left without protection, then joined forces to attack the chamber wall.

Li Xiaoya and Zhang Hong strengthened themselves, retrieved the Fire Dragon Sword, and escaped the sealed chamber, only to find the teleportation formation could not take them out of the hall. They used the black rope and cauldrons to enter the golden vortex, which swept them away together.

• Li Xiaoya and Zhang Hong spent years cultivating and trying to break through the self-repairing metal wall, then refined Diamond Grass liquid to strengthen their bodies.
• Li Xiaoya used the Overlord Art to damage the Metal Gate, and Zhang Hong heated the wall so they could retrieve the Fire Dragon Sword.
• Li Xiaoya and Zhang Hong cut through the Metal Gate and escaped the sealed chamber, then searched the other chambers and found intact Yin-Yang Spirit-Gathering Pills and eighteen cauldrons.
• Li Xiaoya and Zhang Hong activated the teleportation formation, but it returned them to the hall, and Zhang Hong realized the vanished Southwestern Ancient City had disrupted the route.
• Zhang Hong remembered the black rope in the golden vortex, and Li Xiaoya anchored it with cauldrons before tying Zhang Hong to his waist.
• Li Xiaoya and Zhang Hong climbed into the golden vortex and were swept away together.
