A huge stretch of dead timber blocked Kuroser's path, vast as the remains of a World Tree. Its collapse had severed the entire world like a crack running across a bangle.
Kuroser tried walking toward the edge of the world, but every time he reached it, a strange force sucked all the matter back in.

He stepped onto the dead timber. Despite looking thoroughly rotten, the enormous tree proved astonishingly tough, easily supporting the weight of Kuroser and his Power Armour.

Kuroser did not try cutting through the wood with his Warblade. Instead, he used broken branches and rotted hollows to explore deeper, little by little.
