The Lamenters' "mighty warriors" struggled forward one step at a time, opening metal doors and entering successive corridors, drawing ever closer to Evan. Just ahead-the bridge was almost within reach. Press that button! Then... the sudden disappearance of the terrifying acceleration caught the warriors without a chance to brake, sending them tumbling forward.
Evan stood with his hands on his hips, contemplating who knew what. The command room doors opened, and he prepared to turn and explain things to the Lamenters, only to see a yellow-armoured warrior sliding toward him on his Power Pack, spinning through a full 360 degrees.
There were no magnetic locks on a backpack. The warrior tried to plant his feet as he spun, then activated his magnetic locks, fastening himself to a railing with a clack.
"Welcome... welcome, noble sons of the Great Angel." That left Evan completely at a loss. The warrior, however, showed no embarrassment. He immediately stood and surveyed his surroundings. A massive warrior stood proudly in the middle, his left hand resting on a railing. He had to be their leader. With a shout, the Lamenter lunged at Evan.
"Turn the ship around! We live and die with the Mother of Tears."
A Power Sword rasped from its sheath and pointed straight at Evan. The atmosphere grew dangerously tense.
