Sisyphus had not advanced with the army of Terminators. He was aboard the Little Train.
Not only did he keep communications clear, allowing the Flying Little Train to rush to wherever it was needed, but he could also use his prophetic abilities to set out ahead of time toward the general area that would need support.
Now, a minor mishap had left him irritated. Inside the Webway, the Gourd Hammer's attack range was greatly reduced. By the time an enemy came within sniping range, he might as well swing the hammer himself.
He was right in the area targeted by the Tantalus super-heavy "flying tank."
On receiving the Librarian's orders, the driver turned the Little Train sideways, presenting it to the enemy's cutting blades and making the Drukhari think they could slice it in half.
As the two blades flew toward Sisyphus's carriage, a single sweep of eerie laser fire destroyed most of the weapons array on the Dragon's Spine, leaving it with little ability to return fire. Unruffled by the danger, Sisyphus opened the carriage on the other side and took a deep breath. His third lung extracted the last traces of oxygen from the scorching air, thick with poisonous fumes and the smell of gunpowder. Then he leaped, flipping onto the shattered Dragon's Spine.
The Tantalus's enormous Grav-Talons plunged into the carriage like knives through tofu. As it raised its prow to skim over the Little Train, a heavily armoured Librarian leaped high into the air, jumping from the train's prow onto the Tantalus.
Both vehicles were moving so fast that the Drukhari manning the flank gun turrets barely managed to abandon their positions. The driver, unable to leave the controls, took a flying kick straight through his chest.
The Tantalus lurched from side to side in midair,
