Victor was delighted. His body was shattered and his organs were failing, but he had killed four opponents on his own level.

At the start of the battle, Victor had pulled William's arm over to block an Annihilation Bolt. The Fire of Cutting had thrust straight out beneath William's armpit, finishing off a silent assassin.

The other two Harlequins had realized something was wrong and decided to kill Victor first, closing in on him from both sides.

The Custodian had then used Xiao Lan to protect his back, blocking one enemy's line of attack while trading injury for a kill against the other head-on, allowing an Atomic Claw to tear through his handsome face.

That was where the claw marks on his face, deep enough to expose bone, had come from.

The Harlequin he had blocked had severely wounded Xiao Lan. All that could be said was that Xiao Lan had survived because his armour was thicker than the enemy's weapon.
