At first, the Blood Axes paid little attention to this little band of Orks. They were enthusiastically throwing themselves into the earth-shaking war raging across the universe. Chaos wanted to hire them, and so did certain shady politicians in the Imperium of Man. They did not care whom they helped. As long as there was fighting, they were happy.
While accepting mercenary contracts, they also took the opportunity to seize more Imperial territory. Some places had already fallen to Chaos, but they took those without hesitation too. They knew neither side in the great war could spare the strength to counterattack them.
Then Boomblasta launched a ferocious attack on them.
Orks did not go out of their way to choose other species as enemies. To an Ork Boss, anyone who refused to submit deserved death.
Boomblasta's technology was terrifying. Nobody understood technology better than a Mekboy boss. A brutal war broke out between the two sides, easing the pressure on the Imperium's rear.
It looked as though the Imperium was fighting six enemies alone, but in reality, seven powers were fighting for supremacy.
The boss of the Blood Axes had numerous battle-hardened Ork Big Bosses under him. During their battles with Boomblasta, they quickly gleaned a great deal of information.
Boomblasta's forces were hardly idle either. Through constant warfare, their military technology advanced by leaps and bounds. Gargants frequently appeared on the battlefield, leaving those ambush-loving bastards no openings. Staggering numbers of Killa Kans and Deff Dreads made life miserable for the enemy.
And that was without even mentioning the "Beast" currently under construction-or should it be called "Gungat"?
Boomblasta wanted to absorb the Orks here and become the undisputed boss of this Sector.
After a small skirmish came wars of invasion across the various "Ork star systems."
