"Traitor!"
The blades swept through dangerous arcs, then locked firmly together.
Bona stared at the man before him, who looked exactly like him.
"You'll pay for all of this!"
"You caused all of this!"
"You're the one who deserves to die most!"
Bona kicked the man in the stomach, then raised his Bolter and blew his head off with a single shot.
A blade whistled toward him from another direction. Bona sidestepped it, then punched this other "self" away.
The double staggered back a few steps, then gave a smug smile.
"Accept it."
"You and I know better than anyone that humans are the true creatures of the Warp."
"The gods have grown ever stronger on humanity's nourishment. The might of the Four Gods now far exceeds what it was in the days of the Aeldari empire."
"Why not let humanity embrace its true nature? Once humanity unleashes its full potential, what race in this universe could stand in its way?"
But his only answer was the roar of several Bolts, which blasted a gaping hole through his heart.
He smiled smugly, blood spilling from the corner of his mouth.
"You call yourself progressive, yet you're more conservative than the most hidebound member of the High Lords of Terra."
A moment later, Bona crushed his head underfoot.
Bona looked around and gave a faint sigh.
He was exhausted.
Beneath his feet, the corpses of his "selves" had piled into a mountain. He had already killed "himself" more times than he could count.
Each death was a test of himself. The slightest wavering within the sturdy fortress of his heart would make him experience death.
A black sun appeared on the horizon before him, its cold aura steeped in death.
"Your Highness."
"Your Highness."
"Your Highness!"
