"What the hell is he doing?!" Old Man Li was baffled too. He stared at Lu Guan sitting cross-legged on the roof of the car, listening to the White Bone Contemplation scripture echoing in his mind, and couldn't make any sense of it.
"Is he about to attain enlightenment and ascend?!" A Xin stared blankly at Lu Guan on the car roof, feeling utterly unsettled.
The commotion Lu Guan caused drew not only the attention of those already watching him, but also Chu Sheng and the others who hadn't been paying attention.
Walking over to A Xin and Old Man Li, Chu Sheng asked in confusion, "Is he turning into a white bone demon?"
"Who knows?" An Xi, who had arrived at some point, shrugged. She planted the Black Jade Bone Spear in the ground and leaned against it, reclining at an angle as she watched Lu Guan on the roof.
Farther away, Zhu Qing and Wang Meng stopped sparring and came over as well.
Seeing Lu Guan's state and hearing the voice reciting White Bone Contemplation over and over in everyone's minds, Zhu Qing couldn't resist declaring, "This fellow is terrifying indeed! He must not be allowed to live!"
Wang Meng, by contrast, stood beside them with a thoughtful frown, as though something had occurred to him.
Then a gentle female voice came from behind the group.
"He seems to be advancing to sequence seven."
Everyone turned to look, only to find that Fang Hong and Captain Hui had also arrived without them noticing.
Captain Hui watched Lu Guan sitting cross-legged on the roof, looking quite pleased. "I wonder what sort of improvements this kid will get."
