Naruto and Sasuke entered Classroom 1 one after the other. Naruto took a nearby seat and closed his eyes to wait.
Sasuke sat down beside Naruto.
"I wonder who our Jonin Instructor will be. Hopefully they won't be a total letdown."
"Sasuke, what a coincidence! We're going to be inseparable teammates from now on."
After entering Classroom 1, Sakura Haruno saw Naruto sitting with his eyes closed, leaving the adorable Sasuke all alone, and took the initiative to greet him.
But Sasuke merely glanced at Sakura Haruno and gave a grunt of acknowledgment.
Hearing Sasuke actually respond made Sakura Haruno's heart skip a beat. She felt she had a chance.
"Hehe, I'm looking forward to working with you." Striking while the iron was hot, Sakura Haruno tried to keep the conversation going, but before she could finish, her next words caught in her throat.
"Could you be quiet? Can't you see Naruto's resting?" Sasuke asked, frowning at Sakura Haruno.
"Ahem. Oh, um... you're right, Sasuke."
With that little episode over, Sakura Haruno could only sit down and wait quietly, sulking.
What neither of them knew was that Naruto wasn't resting with his eyes closed at all. He was using this opportunity to study the vast collection of photographs about Flying Thunder God in the system space.
Even if he only had a few spare moments, Naruto didn't want to waste them.
And so the three waited quietly in Classroom 1.
One hour passed, then two... then three.
It was almost past lunchtime. By now, not only was the hot-tempered Sakura Haruno getting restless, even the quiet, well-behaved Sasuke couldn't sit still.
"Damn it... making us wait this long?"
"This is so annoying! We've wasted so much time here. What kind of person does that?"
