Two in the morning.

Naruto lay quietly in bed, thinking things over.

Knock, knock...

Just then, someone tapped on the wooden partition, followed by a young man's voice. "Kakashi told us to meet at the Training Ground at seven, so shall I set the alarm for six thirty?"

"Listen to me. Set it for eight thirty," Naruto replied.

"Huh? We're meeting at seven. Is setting the alarm for eight thirty really okay?" Clearly, Sasuke had yet to experience the tedium of waiting for Kakashi.

"You can't go wrong setting it for eight thirty."

"Oh, all right."

Since Naruto sounded so certain, Sasuke didn't think much of it. Besides, he was exhausted after a night of intensive training.

The two soon said good night, and before long, Naruto heard Sasuke's steady breathing.

Naruto hurried to fall asleep as well, so he could go find Kurama.

Time passed, and the starry night gave way to day.

After returning from the Nine-Tails' Home early that morning, Naruto didn't go back to sleep. Instead, he got up to make breakfast and packed lunches.

At eight thirty, the alarm in Itachi's room went off, and Sasuke tapped on the wooden wall. "Naruto, time to get up."
