Tony dismantled the Ten Rings’ plot, killed The Mandarin, and gained control of Extremis and gravity. Meanwhile, Jane became host to the Aether, and Thor went to Tony’s villa to seek Loki’s help protecting her.

• Killian recruited The Mandarin and Carls into a plot against Tony and the United States, and the Ten Rings kidnapped Orleans and Potts.
• Tony rescued Potts, killed Killian, kept Maya alive to study Extremis, and used the virus to enhance the Shadow Trolls.
• Tony had Loki make Orleans recognize him as his master, then arranged for Orleans to be found and returned to public life.
• The Mandarin attacked Pioneer Technology and later ambushed Orleans’s convoy, but Tony’s Extremis Trolls rescued Orleans and captured Scorpion.
• Tony learned The Mandarin’s location from Scorpion, killed Scorpion, then killed The Mandarin when he came to Tony’s villa to trade for Maya.
• Tony freed Maya and gained Tso Lan’s demon chi, which let him control gravity.
• Jane found the Aether in a hidden space and absorbed it, prompting Odin to send Thor to find the artifact or its host on Earth.
• Thor discovered that Jane was hosting the Aether and went to Tony’s villa to consult Loki about protecting her.

Tony and Thor confronted Odin over Jane’s possession of the Reality Stone, then joined forces against Malekith’s invasion of Asgard. Tony killed Malekith and claimed the Reality Stone, but the arc ended with Loki badly wounded by Asgardian gods who refused to believe his defection was a ruse.

• Tony challenged Odin to a battle over Jane’s fate, survived Odin’s attacks, and forced him to let Jane, Thor, and Loki leave with him.
• Odin agreed to Tony’s help against Malekith in exchange for Tony choosing three items from Asgard’s treasury, while Loki arranged to infiltrate the Dark Elves.
• During the Celestial Convergence, Algrim and Loki destroyed Asgard’s shield generator, then escaped with Jane and brought her to Malekith.
• Malekith extracted the Aether from Jane, and Tony joined Thor on the battlefield as the Asgardians fought the invading Dark Elves.
• Tony battled Malekith, used the Mind Stone to overpower him, took the Reality Stone, and killed him before ordering the Asgardians to destroy the remaining Dark Elves.
• Tony gained the Tiger Talisman and went to the Dark Elf spacecraft to make Loki join the Dark Alliance, but found Asgardian gods attacking Loki.
• Thor defended Loki’s apparent betrayal as part of a plan, but Balder, Hoder, and Manni rejected his explanation and grievously wounded Loki while Thor could not reach him.

Tony weakened Asgard by freeing Hela and expanded the Shadowkhan while Thor tried to rally allies against the threat. Loki killed Hoder and sent his head into the Shadow Kingdom, where Hoder’s soul was devoured, leaving Tony eager to test the Shadowkhan on more gods.

• Tony recruited Loki, sent Odin away, and began eroding the seal that kept Hela imprisoned.
• Thor learned Tony was plotting against Asgard, found Odin on the Blue Planet, and returned with Fury and a team of heroes.
• Hela broke free, killed Heimdall, and joined Tony and Loki in taking treasures from the Asgard Vault.
• Tony summoned Shadow Eater Ninjas across Asgard, and their Shadow Eater Corps later fought Hela’s Undead Army on Midgard.
• Thor and his allies discovered that the Shadowkhan were feeding on people’s shadows, then joined Hela against them.
• Tony gave Loki command of Shadow forces and sent him to hunt the surviving gods, while Loki tracked down and killed Hoder.
• The Shadow Kingdom devoured Hoder’s soul, and Tony considered using more gods to make the Shadowkhan an immortal army.

Tony defeated the Gods, destroyed Asgard, and returned to the Blue Planet, where he reunited with Potts and helped Loki awaken JARVIS in a machine body. Meanwhile, Nick cautiously agreed to cooperate with Pietro and Wanda against Tony, and Pietro sought political help against Stark Industries.

• Loki killed Manni and helped the Shadow Kingdom devour his soul, then confronted Hela when she arrived in Asgard and drove her to flee as a weakened soul.
• Tyr gathered Gods to capture Loki, but Tony arrived, killed the assembled Gods, and ordered Loki to hunt down the survivors.
• Hela enlisted Bor and joined Odin, Thor, Captain, and their allies against Tony, while the Captain and the others fought the Shadow Eater Corps.
• Tony survived the combined assault of Hela, Odin, and Bor, then accepted Odin and Bor’s souls and Gungnir in exchange for sparing the others.
• Odin sent Thor, Hela, Captain, and the others to the Blue Planet before he and Bor died, and Tony had their souls taken into the Shadow Kingdom.
• Tony used the Reality Stone to consume Asgard, leaving Thor and Hela grieving on the Blue Planet as Nick warned them against confronting him.
• Tony reunited with Potts, then Loki transferred JARVIS into a machine body and used the Mind Stone to awaken his self-awareness.
• Pietro and Wanda asked Nick to cooperate against Tony, and Pietro later urged Congressman John to use his influence against Stark Industries.
