Cunning or brute force?
In truth, rescuing Iris without alerting the Alt Conglomerate's informants was no simple task.
After all, with a sex doll chip implanted in her, even communicating with her was extremely difficult, let alone coordinating a rescue with her from the outside.
So the only solution Beigong Ling could think of was to abduct Iris without her knowledge, then explain her intentions after freeing her from the sex doll chip's control.
All signals would have to be blocked throughout the operation, and the entire plan would have to be carried out in under thirty minutes. Otherwise, they might tip someone off... or even draw the Alt Conglomerate's attention.
That sounded difficult to accomplish, but for Miss Beigong Ling, it was merely a task that required a little more care.
In truth, the Star of Dawn had plenty of ways to restrain the Alt Conglomerate, or at least cause it trouble... but for various reasons, Beigong Ling had chosen not to use them.
After all, the Alt Conglomerate was not the Star of Dawn's only enemy, and Beigong Ling had loftier goals of her own to achieve. There was no real need for the two sides to fight to the bitter end.
If the Alt Conglomerate had not interfered with the Star of Dawn's various plans, Beigong Ling would never have considered taking on that behemoth so soon.
Of course, her original intention had been to resolve the Star of Dawn's current predicament. She had not intended to bring their unspoken conflict into the open and completely tear up her so-called "wager" with Jonas.
In many situations, that wager genuinely proved quite useful to the Star of Dawn... without it, the Alt Conglomerate would never have allowed the organization to grow right under its nose for so long.
