Thus, when the bureau learned that Senna Life had helped the Star of Dawn attack the Alt Conglomerate, it was delighted despite being Senna Life's partner.
As the saying went, the enemy of my enemy was my friend. Senna Life had cut off its own prospects of developing ties with the Alt Conglomerate. As the beneficiary, Carol had naturally been all smiles, and she had seized the opportunity to suppress Senna Life while courting the Alt Conglomerate.
From Carol's perspective, there was no way the Alt Conglomerate could reconcile with Senna Life. Jonas's sudden "surprise" had truly caught her off guard.
