Jonas's threat made everyone present pale. They knew perfectly well what happened to those the Peacekeeping Forces took away to supposedly "assist with the investigation."

And they knew even better that those taken away had been members of Mister's faction, who had once done everything they could to keep Jonas off the Board of Directors.

The Wetting Conglomerate had been declining by the day, especially since Jonas left... and most of them deeply regretted it now...

Without someone at the helm, even a conglomerate this large was bound to fall into decline.

Everyone on the Board of Directors had their own agenda. They held one another back and schemed against each other, doing the Wetting Conglomerate far more harm than good.
