The Nathen Conglomerate's declaration came as no surprise to most people.
Some might not have known about the relationship between the Nathen Conglomerate's chairwoman and Jonas Wetting before, but after so many incidents, people had gradually realized that the Nathen Conglomerate clearly wasn't helping the Alt Conglomerate out of self-interest. Though it had indeed benefited afterward, its stance before the outcome was certain still gave people plenty to ponder.
The chairwoman's attitude largely determined the Nathen Conglomerate's stance. If Chelsea and Jonas had some sort of relationship, that would clearly explain the conglomerate's otherwise illogical actions.
As time passed, all sorts of speculative rumors circulated. By now, District 25's upper circles were more or less certain that those rumors weren't entirely unfounded.
For that very reason, the Nathen Conglomerate's declaration offered them little guidance.
Meanwhile, at Senna Life.
Rhein watched the news in front of her with a bored expression. Propping her chin on one hand, she casually asked:
"Has no other faction publicly supported the Alt Conglomerate besides the Nathen Conglomerate?"
"Not at the moment."
Hearing Rhein's question, the secretary beside her thought for a moment before answering.
"According to the information we've received, only the Nathen Conglomerate supports Mr. Jonas at present. The other factions have yet to declare their positions."
Though Rhein hadn't explicitly said so, her secretary knew perfectly well that she meant control over District 25's joint defensive line.
At that, Rhein's lips curved into a faintly mocking smile as she said:
"What a shame. He had such a clever plan, only to underestimate those wolves' ambitions."
At this point, a malicious smile crept onto Rhein's lips:
"What do you think their reaction would be if I revealed that the Federation was making such a huge move just to target Jonas?"
The secretary fell silent
