Inside an elegantly furnished office in the Federation, a Network Hacker in a suit stood stiffly, respectfully reporting to the person before him.
Not long ago, the Federation had launched an operation to turn several companies in District 25, using various methods to successfully persuade a number of alliance members to defect.
But Jonas had reacted swiftly as well, striking back through various means, eliminating moles and rooting out covert operatives. He had even quietly absorbed several companies, expanding the Alt Conglomerate.
During this time, Dorothy had offered incentives in an attempt to win over the Delta Family's heir in District 25 and bind them to her cause. Yet she had received no reply so far, and even the private Communicator she had used to contact them had been locked onto.
"Is there a way to break the lock?"
"No..."
Her subordinate answered shamefacedly, "I'm ashamed to admit that our opponent's capabilities exceeded our expectations. Over the course of our clashes, five devices were destroyed, and three people suffered severe brain damage. Had we not cut the power in time, their brains might have been burned out."

"Communicators can be replaced. If my identifying signatures have been locked onto, someone else can make contact. All you need to do is ensure that the Federation's network isn't breached and no confidential information is leaked. Nothing more."
