After throwing out the dirty sheets, Weisheng Tou sat beside the bed and kept Mo Lu company.
Faint green motes of light floated around Mo Lu.
Weisheng Tou watched with his chin propped on his hand.
He really liked Mo Lu so much.
Ever since he first met him as a child, he had adored this beautiful older boy.
Thinking of how his beautiful older boy had looked beneath his hands just now made Weisheng Tou's heart pound even harder.
Mo Lu.
His Mo Lu.
Weisheng Tou watched quietly, then suddenly turned to look outside, his expression sharpening.
He sensed danger.
Weisheng Tou abruptly rose and strode outside.
There was no one there.
Weisheng Tou spun around, only to see Mo Lu engulfed in thick black mist.
Distorted faces could just be made out in the mist, appearing and vanishing, vanishing and appearing, accompanied by terrifying shrieks.
Mo Lu's eyes were closed.
Black light flickered around his hands as he rapidly formed several complex hand seals.
At once, arcane golden talismans rose around Mo Lu and floated in the air, holding firm against the encroaching black mist.
Weisheng Tou watched, his palms sweating.
He had never seen Mo Lu like this.
Dressed in a dark navy cross-collared robe, Mo Lu formed seals with both hands, his fair, exquisite face flickering in and out of view amid the black mist as arcane Curse Seals swirled around him.
He radiated the aloofness and nobility of one who stood above others.
Like a god or a Buddha.
A halo of red-black light spread from his chest, helping him hold back the dense black mist.
Mo Lu's hand seals suddenly began to change.
He withdrew the golden Curse Seals, faint blue lightning curling around his fingertips.
Weisheng Tou's pupils contracted slightly.
He had always thought the Zhu You Technique's power to command lightning was just a legend.
He had never expected to actually witness it in Mo Lu's hands!
Mo Lu's voice was icy as he slowly chanted:
"All gods bow in reverence,
"Thunder and lightning heed my command."
Before Weisheng Tou could even make out what had happened, a flash of blue-green light shone, and the black mist around Mo Lu instantly dispersed.
Green motes of light gradually filled the room again.
Mo Lu's eyes remained closed as he slowly steadied his breathing.
Watching the changes in Mo Lu, Weisheng Tou clenched his fists tightly, his gaze turning vicious.
For the first time, he felt utterly useless.
That had been a battle between witches.
The Federation's witches were attacking Mo Lu.
Weisheng Tou bristled with murderous hostility.
This might have something to do with that Lawrence the Lu Family had contacted.
But he knew no witchcraft.
If something like this happened again, he would kill them all before they could make another move.
Weisheng Tou pressed his thin lips together, struggling to control his emotions.
Mo Lu was still here. He had to hold it in.
Mo Lu slowly opened his eyes.
"Young master!"
Weisheng Tou immediately strode over to Mo Lu's side.
"I'm fine."
Mo Lu pushed away the hand Weisheng Tou extended toward him.
His brow furrowed slightly.
What had attacked him just now had actually been dead spirits.
How could that be?
Only the Federation's families knew necromancy at this level, but why would they suddenly target him?
And at his weakest moment, no less.
Fortunately, his grandfather had placed a Protective Mantra on him. Otherwise, with his Witch Power only just recovering, it would have taken some effort to break free.
Mo Lu looked thoughtful.
But another matter gradually drew his attention.
As Mo Lu recalled the necromancy from moments before, it felt increasingly familiar.
He suddenly looked at Weisheng Tou.
"Weisheng Tou!"
"Young master?"
Weisheng Tou looked at him in confusion.
"Lie down here!"
Mo Lu got off the couch and motioned for Weisheng Tou to take his place.
Weisheng Tou: "?"
He obediently lay down.
Mo Lu immediately tugged his trousers down a little.
