Power Progression

Stage / Realm / Level Chapter Notes
Super S-Rank Alpha 13 Differentiated at thirteen. Signs of madness appeared afterward, leading to confinement and eventually Imperial military involvement in his treatment.

Background / History

Weisheng Tou’s parents eloped and were expelled from the Weisheng Family, while he grew up within the family. His parents knew Mo Lu’s parents; Linglan had described him to Old Master Mo as a good boy 13 42.

Mo Lu’s name shaped much of Tou’s first thirteen years. When Mo Lu studied incense arts and the tea ceremony, Tou studied them too; while Mo Lu learned the Zhu You Technique, Tou learned business management. By the time he enters Mo Lu’s household, he has thought of and yearned for “Brother Mo Lu” for over fourteen years 5 6.

After differentiating at thirteen, Tou began exhibiting signs of madness and was confined in a cage. Doctors, clinical trials, blocking patches, medication, and injections failed to cure him. Around fifteen, the Imperial military began taking him to its medical base approximately every two months, with Mo Chongxi responsible for his treatment. Those visits stopped about a year before Tou met Mo Lu, for reasons Ye Liang could not uncover 2 5 13 16.

His apparent eight-year confinement concealed periods of military activity. Xie Chaoheng witnessed him torture Colonel Hu to death during a field exercise, and Tou later recalls killing Old Master Lu on the Empire’s orders. He also remembers spending the most recent year caged and lost in madness 12 26.

Appearance

Weisheng Tou is tall and well-proportioned, with broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and defined muscles rather than an excessively bulky build 4 13.

  • Hair: Shaggy wolf-cut hair reaching his shoulders, sometimes tied into a small tuft 7 13 17.
  • Eyes: Deep black, compared to obsidian, with slightly downturned outer corners. Gold fills his eyes during episodes associated with madness or powerful rut 6 37 44.
  • Face: Sharp features, thin lips, and prominent canine teeth visible when he smiles 4 14.
  • Voice: Initially hoarse and grating; after treatment, deep, husky, and magnetic 2 6.
  • Clothing: Wears both handmade suits and practical black sleeveless shirts, cargo pants, and combat boots—the latter resembling his usual working clothes 7 13.
  • Distinguishing accessories: A round jade pendant on a black cord and an earring given to him by Mo Lu 13 20.

Personality

Tou deliberately changes his behavior around Mo Lu. With others, he is languid, mocking, threatening, and often openly cruel. Before Mo Lu, he presents himself as innocent, apologetic, and eager to serve. His acting is convincing enough that Mo Lu repeatedly questions which version of him is genuine 6 8 24 39.

His devotion is long-standing, but intensely possessive. He wants Mo Lu’s attention, seeks reassurance that he is needed, and willingly offers Mo Lu control over his life. Fear of rejection coexists with repeated boundary violations: he secretly enters Mo Lu’s bedroom, touches him while he sleeps, and sometimes acts without waiting for permission 6 14 25 41 44.

Tou’s violence is not always the product of lost reason. He enjoys cruelty, conceals killings, and uses apparent confusion to soften Mo Lu’s response. During one episode, he explicitly recognizes that he has not actually lost his reason, then adopts a bewildered, remorseful manner after Mo Lu suppresses his madness 29 30 39.

Mo Chongxi nevertheless sees a deeply sensitive person beneath his aggression—someone who protects what he treasures in the most direct, vicious way. Tou sometimes exercises genuine restraint, staying away during rut because he does not want Mo Lu to see him in madness, and stopping a kiss when he tastes blood from Mo Lu’s injury 16 18.

Abilities & Skills

Super S-Rank Physique and Combat

Tou combines exceptional Alpha strength with precise close-quarters fighting and firearm use 6 7 29 30.

  • Catches Ye Liang’s punch and holds his fist tightly enough to make his knuckles crack 6.
  • Uses blocks, elbow strikes, and a knee sweep to defeat Ye Liang despite the latter’s confidence in his experience 7.
  • Overwhelms armed guards at the Lu estate and uses a pistol against both guards and ambushers 29 30.
  • Continues fighting after being shot through the shoulder; later defeats an enhanced Ye Liang while his right arm remains injured 30 31 37.
  • Can pick a lock with a few easy movements 14.

Rose Liquor Pheromones

Tou’s pheromones can exert overwhelming pressure on other Alphas, affect Omegas, and soothe Mo Lu through their perfect compatibility 10 18 25.

  • Makes Xie Chaoheng struggle to stand and drives Xie Chaoshen into heat 10 11.
  • Intimidates another A-rank Alpha into retracting what he witnessed 12.
  • Suppresses the pheromones of Enhancement Agent users, causing most of an attacking group to collapse unconscious 30.
  • Releases a gentler, soothing scent that calms Mo Lu and helps him sleep 25 42 45.
  • Can temporarily mark Mo Lu; afterward, Mo Lu’s injuries from witch-power disorder feel considerably better 19.
  • Limits: Mo Lu’s seals can block his scent. Ye Liang’s combination of an Enhancement Agent and Healing Talisman temporarily enables his Mint Pheromones to affect Tou 5 6 36.

Danger Instinct

Tou describes his instincts as exceptionally accurate since childhood: people who feel wrong to him consistently prove to have something wrong with them 21.

  • Recognizes something suspicious about Mo Runyan before learning of his Federation connections 21 24.
  • Notices that Mo Chongxi is withholding something, but does not pursue it because he senses no danger from him 36.

Heart-Clearing Mantra

Mo Lu teaches Tou the Heart-Clearing Mantra and leaves witch power in a small curse seal between his brows to help him control agitation 24.

  • Recites the mantra during examinations of his abdominal curse 24.
  • Uses the witch power left in the brow seal as a calming aid 24.
  • Limits: Learning the mantra does not make him a witchcraft practitioner. He admits that he cannot protect Mo Lu directly in a battle between witches 24 46.

Imperial Access and Leverage

Tou’s Imperial account and knowledge of state secrets give him influence beyond his physical strength 23 35.

  • Uses a high-access communication account to identify an anonymous commenter’s real name and address 23.
  • Forces an Imperial General to agree to protect the Mo Family’s reputation by invoking his service, knowledge of secrets, and evidence of Lu Yunsheng’s Federation contact 35.
  • Limits: His account leaves him feeling constantly watched, and he cannot personally perform the forensic analysis needed on Lu Yunsheng’s Communication Band 23 36.

Curses and Treatment

Curse / Treatment Effect and significance
Lower-abdominal curse Initially suspected to cause his madness. Mo Lu later identifies elements of Federation necromancy, a Killing Curse, and what resembles an inherited Mo Family seal. What the seal contains remains unknown, preventing safe removal 4 47.
Mo Lu’s loyalty curse Places Tou’s life under Mo Lu’s control and threatens death for betrayal. Tou later asks for it to be placed over the left side of his chest again 4 41.
Old Master Mo’s gland curse An additional death curse intended to enforce loyalty to the Mo Family; it remains in place despite Mo Lu’s objection 18 42.
Madness-suppression seal Mo Lu prepares a seal for repeat treatment, with suppression sessions planned every Saturday 8 25.
Blocking Seal Suppresses Tou’s pheromones more effectively than ordinary blocking patches. Old Master Mo removes it after discovering his compatibility with Mo Lu 6 18.
Medical suppressants Ordinary medication fails to relieve a severe rut; Mo Chongxi administers specially prepared, stronger suppressants 16 17.
Recorded oath Tou swears never to harm Mo Lu. A blood-red stone turns pink to record the promise and is placed around Mo Lu’s neck so that changed intentions can be detected 42.
Green healing seal over the heart Mo Lu creates it instead of the requested black curse. Its exact function is not explained, and Mo Lu hopes Tou will never need to use it 48.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Jade pendant — A round pendant worn against his chest on a black cord. Tou grips it during distress; Ye Liang’s attempt to seize it provokes a violent escalation 13 16 37.
  • Obsidian earring — Previously belonged to Mo Lu, who enchants it to suppress Tou’s rut and pierces his left earlobe. The spell requires renewal every three months. Ye Liang tears it out and throws it into the woods 20 37.
  • Word-Spirit earring — Mo Lu later enchants an earring with a user-chosen activation phrase. Tou chooses “Big brother”; activating it makes his voice sound beside Mo Lu’s ear 49.
  • “Little Black” — His black heavy motorcycle. Temporarily left in Imperial care after the Lu estate killings, then returned through Mo Chongxi’s arrangements 31 36.
  • Communication bracelet / band — Used for calls and Imperial account access. Its privileges allow Tou to uncover a hostile commenter’s identity 23 24.
  • Pistol — Used during the Lu Family massacre and the subsequent Ye Family ambush 29 30.

Relationships

  • Mo Lu — Master, healer, acknowledged bedmate, and the object of Tou’s long-standing love. Their pheromones are a perfect match. Mo Lu rejects his confession but allows him to return, while Tou repeatedly seeks reassurance, closeness, and renewed marks of belonging 6 18 27 41 48.
  • Ye Liang — Rival subordinate whose jealousy escalates from fights to an attempted assassination. After both men are expelled, their confrontation nearly kills Ye Liang; Tou later spares him because Mo Lu spent witch power healing him 6 29 34 36 37 49.
  • Mo Chongxi — Imperial-assigned physician and longtime friend. Treats Tou’s rut and injuries, helps contain the consequences of his violence, and challenges his hesitation over Mo Lu. Chongxi once considered implanting a gu in him but ultimately refuses to do so 16 17 30 35 36.
  • Old Master Mo — Approves of Tou’s compatibility with Mo Lu but distrusts his Imperial assignment. Allows him to stay after securing an oath that he will never harm Mo Lu 18 42.
  • Weisheng Family — Raised, confined, injured, and ultimately presented him to Mo Lu as a gift. Tou despises the family and welcomes the prospect of Ye Liang’s retaliation against them 2 5 13 23.
  • Xie Chaoheng — Witness to Tou’s killing of Colonel Hu. Tou forces him to deny their prior encounter, leaving Chaoheng determined never to return to the Mo estate 10 12.
  • Xie Chaoshen — His interest in Mo Lu provokes Tou’s possessiveness and an overwhelming pheromone release that triggers his heat 10 11.
  • Mo Runyan — Viewed by Tou as a potential threat to Mo Lu. Tou suspects him instinctively and later learns of his possible Federation witchcraft connections 21 24.
  • Lu Family — Targets of both an earlier Imperial assignment and Tou’s personal retaliation. Tou kills Lu Sa for insulting Mo Lu, then destroys the household after its confrontation with the Mo Family 24 26 29 30.
