Background / History

Remiya found Shi Jinse in postwar ruins when he was nine, the same age as Lei Ouyan. Knowing that Shi was a Heteromorph, she brought him home and raised him while using him as a subject in her secret suppressant research. He continued living with her and eventually joined the medical team because he wanted to save people 11.

For years, Remiya injected Shi with an experimental Heteromorph Suppressant. The treatment weakened his mutated genes and helped him remain undetected within the human base, but it did not completely replace those genes. Signs of mutation returned when the injections stopped. Only Remiya knew the final version’s formula 11.

Remiya had also been engaged to Damon for ten years. Their engagement was to be fulfilled under a system requiring genetically compatible men and women to produce offspring, regardless of personal wishes. Although she had once loved him, she felt no renewed affection when he finally moved to honor the arrangement, recognizing that she was another part of his plans 6.
