When Li Wei and Steven passed through the Mirror Stone, the view suddenly opened up before them. The dazzling light made them raise their hands to shield their eyes.
Their surroundings had quietly changed. Instead of a rocky ceiling, a clear sky stretched overhead.
Lush trees surrounded them, their fresh scent filling the air. Towering mountains rose in the distance, and they could hear the burble of flowing streams.
The only thing that remained unchanged was the Mirror Stones embedded in the rocks around them.
At the sight, Steven couldn't help marveling,
"So this is the world inside the Mirror Stone?"
Li Wei, who had quietly slipped on his Key Stone glove, looked around just as curiously, as did Lucario.
"Come out, Metagross."
To guard against any surprises, Steven released his Metagross as well.
"Let's find Roark and Mr. Byron first."
It had all started a short while earlier.
When he saw ripples spreading across the Mirror Stone's surface in the cave, Steven recalled a rumor...
"I heard this rumor from an old lady in Shalour City."
Faced with Li Wei and Roark's inquisitive gazes, Steven began to explain.
"There's a legend about Reflection Cave in Shalour City. Some special Mirror Stones inside the cave connect to parallel worlds."
"Speaking of parallel worlds, there's another rumor related to the legendary Arceus, but that can wait for another time."
When it came to parallel worlds in the Pokémon world, Giratina's Distortion World could count as one.
The Distortion World was the complete opposite of reality, made up of floating islands, with heaven and earth turned upside down.
There were also the parallel worlds opened when the Space-Time Deities fought, along with Ultra Space, where Ultra Beasts lived.
