Background and History

Tang San grew up under Tang Hao's care. His place in the family is disputed: Ah Yin believed that their original son died during Spirit Hall's pursuit and that Tang San was a “monster” occupying the child's body, while Tang Hao chose to accept him as his real son regardless 124 125.

Before his martial soul awakening, Ah Yin observed that Tang San possessed unusually nimble movements for a frail child. Bai Ye suggested that he may have had Soul Power and a movement-type self-created soul skill even before awakening, though this was not confirmed 123. At his awakening ceremony, he manifested Blue Silver Grass and Innate Full Soul Power; he also possessed a second martial soul, the Clear Sky Hammer 2 88.

After leaving Holy Soul Village, Tang San entered the Star Luo Royal Academy. He saved Dai Mubai from two men while displaying his three soul rings, and the two quickly became sworn brothers. Dai Mubai gave him a place to live and arranged his academy enrollment without tuition 75.

During the All Continent Spirit Master Academy Elite Competition, Bai Ye recognized Tang San on the Star Luo Royal Team and arranged circumstances intended to force him to reveal the Clear Sky Hammer. Tang San used the hammer and Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer, exposing his link to the Clear Sky Sect and drawing Spirit Hall's attention 87 88. Spirit Hall subsequently planned to use him to lure out Tang Hao before secretly eliminating him 88. Yu Xiaogang attempted to protect Tang San in hopes of becoming his master 89 90.

While seeking a spirit ring with Tang Hao, Tang San was recognized by the Blue Silver King as the bearer of the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline. The King began an awakening ritual, but Ah Yin interfered from afar and refused to allow the bloodline to awaken in him 124.

After the destruction of the Clear Sky Sect, Tang San accompanied Tang Hao and Tang Chen to investigate its ruins and attempted to comfort them 155. He later supported the Star Luo Empire against Spirit Hall and the Heaven Dou Empire, citing Tang Chen's return and an Asura God's Divine Decree as reasons for the Tang family's intervention 156 157.

Following Star Luo's defeat, Tang San became a key agent of the God Realm's opposition. He negotiated with Balak Kingdom's King Xue Song, offering the support of several gods against Heaven Dou and Spirit Hall 163 166. When Ah Yin captured Tang Hao and Tang Chen as bait, he resolved to enter Spirit Empire territory and rescue them 168.

Personality

Tang San is compassionate and direct in personal matters. He protected the unconscious Dai Mubai without seeking reward, accepted him as a friend, and promised to help him seek revenge against those who had wronged him 75.

He is also politically and strategically capable. Rather than merely relying on divine strength, he persuaded Xue Song by framing resistance as Balak Kingdom's opportunity to avoid annexation and potentially replace the Heaven Dou Empire 166. His commitment to rescuing Tang Hao and Tang Chen reflects his strong attachment to his family 155 168.
