Dai Mubai first encounters Shi Meng and Hu Liena while attempting to claim the Rose Hotel’s last suite, which they requested first. He offers triple the price and threatens Shi Meng with his rank-37 White Tiger martial soul 14.
The dispute becomes a wager over Shi Meng’s claim that the manager will beg him to stay. Hu Liena demands that Dai Mubai kneel, kowtow, and call Shi Meng “Grandpa” if he loses. Dai Mubai counters that Shi Meng must leave and Hu Liena must enroll at Shrek if they lose, then adds a degrading public defecation-and-consumption penalty 15 16.
The manager initially supports Dai Mubai, but Ning Rongrong arrives with Sword Douluo Chen Xin and announces that she owns the hotel. She fires the manager, overturning Dai Mubai’s advantage.
