Original Past and Causal Reconstruction

When Shi Meng first encounters Bibi Dong, he rewinds her life and witnesses events including the secret chamber, Qian Renxue’s birth, Slaughter City, her devouring of Qian Xunji, and her rise to Pope. He views her suffering as rooted in betrayal and manipulation, while also acknowledging her responsibility for her own choices 1.

Shi Meng then uses Causal Severance to reconstruct causality. Back in the present, Bibi Dong recognizes him by name, releases her spider silk, and cares for him after his power is exhausted. The intervention changes her relationship with him, but its full effects are not immediately explained 1.

By the following chapter, she remembers an intimate past with Shi Meng, including his calling her “Dong’er.” Believing his claimed amnesia and age of six, she concludes that he has reincarnated without his memories and promises to care for him 2.

Accepting and Protecting Shi Meng

Bibi Dong publicly presents Shi Meng as her new disciple and places him under Hu Liena’s care. At his awakening ceremony, she recognizes his clock-hand Martial Soul as evidence that Time Douluo has returned 2 4.

During negotiations over the Time-Ice Mystic Butterfly, she seeks Shi Meng’s opinion before accepting Skywater Academy’s affiliation.
