"It's fine. That Special Grade Cursed Tool you have, the Black Rope, can seriously hamper Satoru Gojo. You only need to hold him off for a while. Conserve your strength and keep him occupied."
"Without question, you have the strongest physique of any jujutsu sorcerer. With both cursed energy and your Cursed Technique reinforcing it, holding Satoru Gojo off for ten or fifteen minutes shouldn't be a problem. My cursed spirits will also do everything they can to support you."
The more casually Suguru Geto spoke, the less confident Miguel felt. He could only force himself to believe him. After all, Suguru Geto had once been Satoru Gojo's close friend, and he was the only one here who had fought him.
"Geto, go over what you know about Satoru Gojo with me again."
"Satoru Gojo's Limitless technique can affect matter at the atomic level, controlling space through precise manipulation of cursed energy. Ordinary jujutsu sorcerers can never touch him in battle. You'll need to keep disrupting his Cursed Technique with the Black Rope."
"To make Limitless viable, its user must also possess the Six Eyes. He has both, making him a prodigy the Gojo Clan might only produce once every five hundred years."
As Miguel asked about Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto stroked his kesa, briefly recalling the past.
"You're a jujutsu sorcerer from Africa, so it's understandable that you don't know much about him. But in Japan's Jujutsu Society, everyone knows Satoru Gojo's name."
"If I die, I'll haunt you, Geto."
"Then you're welcome to come find me down there."
Suguru Geto waved to Miguel, left the courtyard, and strolled into the meeting room inside. Miguel followed him. Suguru Geto's Family were all waiting for him there.
"Sorry for the wait, Family."
"I have a few more details to add to the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons plan I mentioned earlier."
Unlike the false courtesy he had shown non-sorcerers earlier, Suguru Geto's kindness toward his Family was sincere.
"Lord Geto, I don't care about the rest of the plan, but Mimiko and I have to be the ones to kill Dai Li, the man who dared to leave a scar on your face. Right, Mimiko?"
"Yes. Dai Li is unforgivable."
The two girls sitting on the sofa were at an age when they should have been enjoying their youth, yet here they were, thinking about how to kill someone.
"Nanako, he's a Semi-Grade 1 Sorcerer now. By the time we carry out the plan, he'll probably already be a Grade 1 Sorcerer.
An enemy who could hurt Geto isn't someone you two can take on. Just focus on killing those Assistant Supervisors in business attire. Leave the man who hurt Geto's handsome face to me. I'll torture him so badly he'll never forget it."
The blond man wearing a headband answered. He was tall and muscular, with heart-shaped stickers on his chest and stomach, and stood barefoot on the wooden floor.
"Larue has a point. Nanako, Mimiko, you two should stick to something less dangerous."
"But Larue, don't underestimate him. I haven't gone over his abilities with you in detail yet. I'll brief you on those along with the new information in a moment. Do your best to keep him occupied, and don't let them discover that I'm heading for Jujutsu High."
Suguru Geto couldn't ignore the enormous wildcard that was Dai Li. Keeping him occupied was still the best option.
"Aww, Lord Geto~"
"Mimiko, come on! Help me sweet-talk Lord Geto."
"Nanako..."
The dark-haired girl in the sailor uniform was quieter and didn't join in the petulant fuss.
Looking at the Family who supported him unconditionally, Suguru Geto felt all the more certain that he was on the right path. He couldn't let them down.
Tokyo, inside the Kyoto Jujutsu High infirmary.
The smell of disinfectant filled the room. Sunlight streamed through the window onto the pristine white beds, lending a rare sense of peace to a place usually filled with the groans of the injured.
Yuta Okkotsu sat beside a hospital bed, his shoulder and abdomen wrapped in bandages.
Although Shoko Ieiri's Reverse Cursed Technique had healed most of his injuries, the exhaustion left by prolonged, intense combat wasn't so easy to shake.
Especially after that last battle.
Even now, Okkotsu could vividly recall the overwhelming pressure he had felt when the Imaginary Soul Liberation Blade came down.
"So, what exactly was going on with you two brats?"
Shoko Ieiri leaned against the desk with an examination report in her hand, her expression as calm as ever.
Yuta Okkotsu lowered his head sheepishly.
"I'm sorry, Miss Shoko."
"It's not a big deal. Your teacher, Satoru Gojo, used to do far more outrageous things."
At that, Shoko Ieiri recalled those days, back when Suguru Geto was still at Jujutsu High...
After a brief silence, she looked away.
Just then, the infirmary door opened.
"Shoko."
Utahime Iori stood in the doorway, carrying a few gifts for the patients.
"I knew you'd be here."
Shoko Ieiri glanced at her visitor.
"Utahime."
"What a surprise. You actually came to visit a patient of your own accord."
"What do you mean, 'of my own accord'? I'm a teacher."
Utahime Iori frowned in protest. She was a teacher at Jujutsu High, after all.
"Isn't it perfectly normal for a teacher to check on an injured student?"
"Besides..."
She glanced at Okkotsu by the bed.
"This Goodwill Event caused such a huge commotion. The people upstairs have been questioning Principal Gakuganji about it nonstop."
Yuta Okkotsu's expression grew a little more serious at that. After all, the Jujutsu Higher-Ups had once secretly sentenced him to death.
He knew Utahime Iori wasn't talking about him.
She meant Dai Li.
"Are you all right, Yuta Okkotsu?"
Utahime Iori bent down to examine Yuta Okkotsu's injuries.
"I'm fine. Thanks to Miss Shoko's treatment, it's nothing serious anymore."
"If anything, I'm more worried about Dai Li right now. I wonder how he's doing."
Utahime Iori paused in surprise.
"You really care about him."
"Of course."
Okkotsu answered without hesitation.
"Dai Li is a classmate I respect."
Shoko Ieiri gave a soft laugh at that.
"You two certainly get along well."
"You only just finished a fight that nearly demolished the entire training ground."
"And now you're worried about each other. Once Dai Li saw me applying Reverse Cursed Technique externally to treat you, he left with his mind at ease. Gojo is probably with him now."
Yuta Okkotsu couldn't help smiling too.
"That's just the kind of person Dai Li is."
"He usually seems pretty laid-back, and he often says strange things."
"But..."
He paused.
"He treasures his friends more than anyone."
Thinking of how Dai Li usually behaved, Yuta Okkotsu couldn't help smiling faintly.
"It's good for young people like him to have some energy."
"But..."
Utahime Iori frowned.
"The Higher-Ups have already started taking notice of Dai Li."
"Especially his two Cursed Techniques."
"Projection Cursed Technique, and that Innate Cursed Technique he suddenly revealed."
The infirmary fell silent for a moment. Yuta Okkotsu looked at Utahime Iori as well.
So the Higher-Ups really have started paying attention. But Gojo-sensei is still with Dai Li. He'll probably be fine.
