Biodata
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Name | Nahida (纳西妲) 10 |
| Alias(es) | Buer; Lesser Lord Kusanali; Dendro Archon; God of Wisdom; God of Great Wisdom 14 19 20 |
| Species/Race | Deity; incarnation of Irminsul. Her summoned existence is a projection created by Ji Feng’s martial soul, rather than her original self 12 15 17. |
| Gender | Female 10 |
| Affiliation | Sumeru; Sanctuary of Surasthana; Ji Feng’s group 12 19 |
| Occupation/Role | Deity of wisdom, life, and dreams; researcher and adviser to Ji Feng 12 21 22 |
| Status | Alive as a summoned projection; dependent on Ji Feng’s continued existence 15 |
| First Appearance | Summoned in Ji Feng’s courtyard 10 |
Power Progression
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Summoned divine projection | 10 12 | Retains divine authority, but not her true self’s full strength. Ji Feng’s original lack of Soul Power severely restricts summoned characters’ elemental control. |
| Elemental Resonance restored to one-tenth | 12 | After Ji Feng reaches Soul Power level ten, her elemental resonance recovers to one-tenth of its original strength. Her precise control makes this relatively manageable; reduced mental power remains the greater limitation. |
| Separate soul-form clone | 21 | Successfully splits off an illusory consciousness that remains active while her original summoned soul appears dormant. This grants greater autonomy, not a new cultivation rank; the soul form cannot fight. |
- Cultivation restriction: Nahida and the other summoned Genshin characters cannot awaken conventional Douluo martial souls. Ji Feng’s cultivation ranks are not her own 11.
- Projection strength: Her mental power is described as probably less than one-tenth of her true self’s. The initial estimate of Titled Douluo-level mental power is not a formal cultivation rank 12.
Background / History
Summoning and the Sanctuary’s Foundation
Ji Feng summons Nahida as his next character after Kokomi, but immediately takes over her body before she can respond. He fears that the real God of Wisdom might refuse to cooperate or escape. Kokomi instead sees her arrival as a way to overcome his zero innate Soul Power 10.
While occupying Nahida’s body, Ji Feng researches his original body overnight. Using her natural energy and Ah Yin’s pill, he obtains innate full Soul Power and opens a second martial soul slot. Kokomi proposes shaping that second martial soul from Nahida’s Dream Authority, with connections to other people providing access to their martial souls 11.
Still controlled by Ji Feng, Nahida’s body becomes the public face of a continent-wide dream gathering. Appearing as Buer, she offers a new beginning to people disadvantaged by the Martial Soul system and establishes the Sanctuary of Surasthana. Its teachings subsequently attract both ordinary people and major factions 12 14 18.
Awakening and Negotiating Autonomy
Nahida’s own consciousness emerges when Ji Feng painfully severs part of her Dream Authority for his second martial soul. Although resentful of his unauthorized possession, she does not sabotage the ritual. She considers the transfer something she would have helped with voluntarily if he had asked. After he completes it and faints, she regains her body 14.
She confronts Kokomi over helping Ji Feng control her, but loses their argument after Kokomi distinguishes summoned projections from their Teyvat originals. Their discussion establishes that Nahida cannot simply leave: separating from Ji Feng would kill her, and his death would also end her existence. Kokomi suggests creating a secondary clone as a possible workaround 15.
After healing Ji Feng, Nahida demands bodily freedom, consent before possession, compensation for exceptions, and recognition as his teacher. These demands are not accepted in full. A compromise lets her ordinarily use her body and remain conscious as a soul avatar when Ji Feng borrows it; her appeal to be treated as a person also wins his promise to respect her wishes 16 17.
Research, Travel, and Rivalry
Nahida later reveals that she has successfully created a separate soul-form clone and researched Ji Feng’s Genshin Impact martial soul from that state. She accepts restrictions against harming him and offers her research to ease his distrust. Further bargaining over modifications to the wishing system earns her permission to act freely in her current form 21 22.
Before the group’s planned trip to the Azure Mist Ancient Forest, Nahida rejects Kokomi’s suggestion that Ah Yin sacrifice herself to provide Ji Feng with a hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring. She then works with Ah Yin to make storage accessories for the journey. Kokomi’s criticism of her reluctance sparks another contest for Ji Feng’s favor, which Nahida wins through a calculated display of distress 22 23.
Nahida refuses to read Ah Yin’s mind to assist Ji Feng’s courtship and wagers her freedom against his claim that he can win Ah Yin over unaided. She and Kokomi later wait outside the couple’s Blue Silver Grass cocoon while playing board games; the supplied account does not show a formal settlement of the wager 24 26.
During La Signora’s appearance, Nahida participates in the group’s mental discussions and helps press Kokomi into fighting. Later, she criticizes the manipulative nature of Kokomi’s proposed recruitment strategies for the captive Ling Yuan Douluo 32 33 38.
Appearance
Nahida has a petite, childlike form with delicate features and a composed, otherworldly bearing 10 12 20.
- Hair: Silver-white hair, described in Ji Feng’s transformed Nahida form as barely extending past her neck 20.
- Eyes: Emerald irises with pale-green, four-leaf-clover-shaped cross pupils 12.
- Clothing: A white, dress-like divine raiment decorated with golden curling-leaf runes and white lace along its inner hem 10.
- Back panels: Two translucent, pale-green gauze panels 10.
- Foot ornaments: Open-toed ornaments shaped like flowers and leaves 10.
- Dream manifestation: Projects an enormous version of her face on the horizon, with her distinctive pupils visible to the gathered population 12.
Personality
Nahida is kind, curious, and willing to help, but strongly resents being treated as an object. Even after Ji Feng possesses her without permission, she allows his ritual to finish and heals him afterward. Her desire for autonomy includes the simple wish to explore the unfamiliar world herself 14 15 16.
Her pride as the God of Wisdom makes her competitive with Kokomi. She initially lets frustration drive an unsound argument, privately recognizes that she was venting, and later becomes more effective at bargaining with Ji Feng. Provocation, feigned tears, and affectionate displays all become tools for securing better treatment 15 16 23.
Her ethical objections are concrete: she rejects sacrificing Ah Yin for a Soul Ring and refuses to invade Ah Yin’s privacy for romantic advantage. This does not make her incapable of deception—she helps maintain Ji Feng’s false explanation of his powers and deliberately manipulates his perception during her rivalry with Kokomi 20 22 23 24.
Abilities & Skills
Dendro and Life Authority
Nahida controls Dendro and works with natural vitality. These powers support healing, plant manipulation, and martial soul awakening 11 14 16.
- Heals Ji Feng after the authority-transfer ritual; keeping him outdoors makes treatment easier 16.
- Can shape and bestow Dendro-related martial souls, or convert summoned characters and parts of them into martial souls 11.
- Can help people without Soul Power undergo a second awakening, but cannot perform that awakening remotely through dreams 14.
- Can use Dendro offensively. She insists that being less combat-oriented than other gods does not make her helpless against mortals 17.
- Divine authority can bypass elemental restrictions, but doing so consumes mental power and prevents simultaneous use of abilities requiring that authority’s full strength 12.
Dream Authority and Psychic Network
Her Dream Authority connects consciousnesses and creates a shared dream space. Ji Feng uses these inherited techniques while controlling her body to establish the Sanctuary’s initial network 11 12.
- Extends the network through the overlapping Psychic Fields unconsciously emitted by Soul Masters 12.
- Draws almost the entire continent into a near-real dream, including Qian Daoliu 12.
- Cannot reach every Soul Master in remote locations or unusual environments through that network 12.
- Provides private mental communication for the group 18 24.
- Supplies the authority used to form Ji Feng’s Four-Leaf Illusion God Eye, which can imitate or summon dream-connected people, cast eye-contact illusions, and read minds. This martial soul belongs to Ji Feng, not Nahida 14 17.
Mind-Reading and Perception Alteration
Nahida can read thoughts and subtly alter how others perceive her 16 18.
- Reads Ji Feng’s private complaints and intentions during their negotiations 16.
- Makes passersby subconsciously overlook her, despite her public fame 18.
- Ah Yin sees through this concealment; Nahida attributes the vulnerability partly to having shared much of her power with Ji Feng 19.
- Declines to read Ah Yin’s thoughts for Ji Feng’s romantic pursuits, arguing for sincerity rather than outside interference 24.
Pure Good Heart Sutra
The Pure Good Heart Sutra strengthens mental power, purifies martial souls, and develops spiritual imprints connecting practitioners to Nahida’s dream space. It also provides the network with Soul Power and mental power 13 14.
| Feature | Documented effect |
|---|---|
| Initial recipients | Approximately one thousand: 80% ordinary people with zero innate Soul Power and 20% Soul Masters with grass-attribute martial souls 14. |
| Second-awakening chance | Estimated at roughly 2% through persistent practice, rising to 20% for grass- or mental-attribute martial souls. A successful awakening does not guarantee a powerful result 14. |
| Imprint benefits | Connection to the dream space; mental simulations and opportunities to receive Buer’s guidance 13 14. |
| Contribution rewards | Spreading her teachings earns points exchangeable for an awakening opportunity 14. |
| Vision martial soul | Nahida can transform a qualifying ordinary practitioner’s martial soul into a Dendro Archon’s Vision martial soul, with innate Soul Power from rank two to seven according to faith 14. |
- Built from a widespread Douluo cultivation method and deliberately simplified for easy imitation 14.
- Its restriction on direct teaching does not prevent others from observing and secretly copying it 14.
- Grass-attribute martial souls benefit most from the technique 14.
Soul Splitting
Nahida creates a secondary, illusory soul form to preserve an active consciousness outside the martial soul’s apparent dormant state 21.
- Can communicate with Ji Feng while her original summoned soul is marked as asleep 21.
- Conducts research whose results are absent from the original body’s memories 21.
- Cannot possess Ji Feng or fight in this form 21.
- Remains controllable through her original body; she helps Ji Feng impose restrictions preventing both harm and the intention to harm him 21.
Research and System Modification
Nahida investigates unfamiliar systems rather than possessing automatic knowledge of them. She cannot initially create Soul Rings from Ji Feng’s written memories alone and asks for practical examples to study 17.
- Finds that ordinary martial souls combine bloodline power with soul energy, whereas the Genshin Impact martial soul contains energy approaching the world’s origin 20.
- Suspects that Ji Feng’s martial soul is something beyond conventional martial souls, constrained into that form by Douluo’s laws 20.
- Creates a hacked game version featuring automatic resource collection, repeated aerial jumps, enormous damage, and cooldown-free elemental bursts 21 22.
- Changes the displayed Primogem count to 999,999, but cannot create the actual resources required for wishes 22.
- Offers to research targeted character selection; its completion is not documented 22.
Sealing-Based Storage Crafting
Unable to create conventional storage spaces, Nahida uses sealing arts on Blue Silver Grass grown by Ah Yin 23.
- Each marked leaf seals one object smaller than one cubic unit; bundled objects can count as one item 23.
- Dendro vitality stabilizes the woven accessory 23.
- Marks recognize only their first user and cannot be activated by another person’s soul power 23.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Twenty-four-leaf Blue Silver Grass bracelet — Made for her own use 23.
- Sixty-leaf Blue Silver Grass waist chain — Initially intended for herself, then designated for Ji Feng rather than risk Kokomi exposing the larger item 23.
- Storage accessories for her companions — Makes an eighteen-leaf bracelet for Ah Yin, a twelve-leaf bracelet for Kokomi, and another eighteen-leaf bracelet intended for Ji Feng 23.
Relationships
- Ji Feng — Summoner and host whose survival sustains her existence. Their relationship develops from involuntary possession into negotiated cooperation, with recurring disputes over consent, freedom, and his expectations of her powers 10 15 16 21 22.
- Sangonomiya Kokomi — Fellow summon, strategic collaborator, and rival for Ji Feng’s confidence. Kokomi suggests the clone workaround, but their cooperation is punctuated by arguments, mutual suspicion, and calculated attempts to undermine one another 15 21 23 38.
- Ah Yin — Devotee and recipient of her teachings. Ah Yin recognizes Nahida despite her concealment, agrees to help her host, and collaborates with her in making storage accessories 19 23.
- Sanctuary of Surasthana practitioners — Followers whose cultivation connects them to her dream space and supplies spiritual resources. Their membership can coexist with allegiance to another organization, including Spirit Hall 13 14 18.
- La Signora — Her unexpected arrival puzzles Nahida, who initially asks whether Ji Feng summoned her and offers reassurance against the possibility of Snezhnaya appearing in Douluo 32.
