Ah Yin lived in the Blue Silver Forest before choosing human transformation. She had witnessed humanity’s rise from being oppressed by soul beasts to driving them into remote forests and ravines. Although classified as a hundred-thousand-year soul beast, she states that she had actually experienced tens of thousands of years rather than a full hundred thousand 25 26.

Her transformation was a deliberate gamble on freedom and advancement. Remaining a soul beast meant facing successive heavenly tribulations, with little apparent prospect of becoming a god. Human life offered her the chance to travel the continent and pursue divinity instead of spending more unchanging millennia confined to the forest 26.
