Yu Xiaogang let out a roar. At his feet, Luo Sanpao's clear blue eyes suddenly lit up, and the yellow ring around his body seemed to turn into a curtain of light as his round body sprang upward.
But when Luo Sanpao bounced up to his mouth, his tongue suddenly lolled out, and he fell back down.
Thud.
With a sharp sound, Luo Sanpao hit the ground. His head tilted sideways, his tongue hung out, and a ring of white foam lined his mouth. He had passed out on the spot.
"What's going on?"
Yu Xiaogang's eyes widened as he stared blankly at the unconscious Luo Sanpao on the ground, then hesitantly touched his own mouth.
Was his breath really that bad?
Utterly bewildered, Yu Xiaogang cupped his hands together, breathed into them, and took several deep sniffs-a truly top-tier lungful.
"It does stink a little... tsk, I've been so busy teaching lately that I forgot about this. But it's not that bad, is it?"
Yu Xiaogang muttered to himself, standing there as he began to question his entire existence.
Even if he had bad breath, surely it couldn't stink that much?
It could actually fucking knock Luo Sanpao unconscious?
After all, Luo Sanpao's Soul Skill was farting, producing an unbearable stench to attack his enemies. His own tolerance for foul odors went without saying.
Just how terrible did a stench have to be for even Luo Sanpao to find it unbearable?
Would even a Titled Douluo be unable to stand it?
For the first time, Yu Xiaogang realized just how fucking formidable he was.
Across from him, Xiao Wu was laughing so hard she could no longer straighten up, trembling like a flowering branch in the breeze and barely able to breathe. Her chest, only just beginning to bud like the pointed tip of a young lotus, rose and fell, making Su Bai's body shake along with hers.
Their bodies rubbed together several times, tickling Xiao Wu and making her laugh even harder.
Even Su Bai could barely keep a straight face. He had never expected Gangzi to be this extraordinary-his breath could even knock out his own Luo Sanpao!
"Truly worthy of the name Grandmaster. You may only be level twenty-nine, with an innate Soul Power of half a level, but you can defeat your own Martial Soul. Across the entire Douluo Continent, I doubt anyone else could accomplish that."
Smiling, Su Bai mocked him. "I'll be going now, Grandmaster. I'm scared, all right? Even that farting Martial Soul of yours can't stand it, let alone me."
"Oh, and one more reminder: be careful when you teach other students in the future. It might not be your bullshit theories that make them sick, but your foul breath."
With those words spoken, Yu Xiaogang would probably hear them echoing in his head whenever he taught anyone from then on.
As Su Bai finished speaking, Xiao Wu laughed even harder, leaning against him and nearly laughing herself unconscious.
"You!?" Yu Xiaogang's eyes bulged with fury, and he felt his face grow hot.
He touched his face. Su Bai had actually angered him into a nosebleed.
Yu Xiaogang's lifespan had probably been shortened considerably. Being torn apart to his face without managing a single word in rebuttal was practically a recipe for an early grave.
Suddenly, Su Bai looked toward the shadows beside the street. A cold smile curled his lips, and he lightly crooked a finger.
A strand of Blue Silver Grass shot out, then withered rapidly in midair.
A silver needle fired from the shadows was deflected, landing squarely between Yu Xiaogang's eyebrows.
"Teacher!"
"What's this?"
Two voices rang out at once. One was Xiao Wu's startled cry; the other came from the shadows. The newcomer was none other than Tang San!
Tang San hurried out of the shadows, crouched down, and placed both hands on Yu Xiaogang, his expression anxious.
"Teacher, are you all right? Teacher!"
A silver needle was embedded between Yu Xiaogang's eyebrows. Fortunately, Su Bai had deflected it, reducing its force considerably; otherwise, it would have sent Yu Xiaogang straight to the King of Hell.
His face had swollen into a pig's head, blotched red and green, while his eyes rolled back and his body kept twitching.
Clearly, the silver needle was poisoned!
Seeing Gangzi in that state, Su Bai could not help sighing. He said to Tang San, "Is there something wrong with your brain? Does he look all right to you?"
Tang San abruptly raised his head and looked at Su Bai, his eyes brimming with murderous intent.
"It's all your fault!"
"You've reduced my respected teacher to this state! You've already earned yourself a death sentence!"
Tang San had fired the silver needle himself, so naturally, he knew better than anyone whether Yu Xiaogang would be all right. His earlier blurted question had been nothing but crocodile tears, a mere pretense of concern.
Tang San retrieved the silver needle and placed a pill in Yu Xiaogang's mouth. Only then did Yu Xiaogang's complexion improve considerably.
While administering the pill, he deliberately held his breath. Hidden nearby, Tang San had heard every word about Yu Xiaogang's foul breath.
Come to think of it, he had vaguely noticed an odd smell when listening to Yu Xiaogang speak before. Now Tang San knew it had been Yu Xiaogang's fucking bad breath all along.
"Tang San, stop slandering him!"
Xiao Wu raised her eyebrows. Hearing Tang San twist black into white the moment he opened his mouth infuriated her.
"You were clearly trying to ambush Su Bai! That's why that idiot got hit by the needle. What does that have to do with Su Bai?"
"He hasn't even asked you why you attacked him from hiding!"
As she spoke, Xiao Wu glared at Tang San, her eyes full of anger.
Only then did Xiao Wu notice that there was a silver needle in Luo Sanpao's body as well.
Apparently, Gangzi's breath had not knocked him unconscious; Tang San's Hidden Weapon had poisoned him.
Seeing Xiao Wu angry, Tang San froze. For a moment, he panicked, unsure how to explain himself.
"Xiao Wu... I..."
He had originally intended to strike from hiding and kill Su Bai outright.
Tang San had planned to attack as soon as Su Bai left the Great Soul Arena, but when he noticed Xiao Wu accompanying him, he decided to wait until she left.
Yet he had never expected that Xiao Wu would show no intention of leaving. Instead, she kept following Su Bai, her gestures growing increasingly intimate.
How could Tang San possibly endure that?
He had never been a broad-minded person to begin with. Faced with that sight, he finally lost his patience and fired a poisoned needle.
He had not expected that after firing two poisoned needles, Yu Xiaogang would be the one to suffer.
Unable to explain himself, Tang San stood frozen, opening and closing his mouth. Finally, he looked at Su Bai and shouted, "Su Bai! It's all because of this bastard!"
"Fuck, none of this would have happened without you! I'm going to kill you!"
"If you're a man, duel me!"
Tang San's voice trembled continuously as he shouted. Then he looked at Xiao Wu. "Xiao Wu, I'll definitely win! I'm going to prove I'm stronger than Su Bai!"
Unexpectedly, those words only deepened the disgust on Xiao Wu's face.
"That's why you attacked him? How vile can you get?"
"Even if you win, what does that have to do with me? Is that the kind of person you think I am? Do you think I'll only follow someone strong?"
At that point, Xiao Wu was utterly disappointed in Tang San. She had still considered him a friend before, but now it seemed he was not even worthy of being her friend.
"Get lost!"
