Fighting Haku

After dragging the two of them back, Meihui woke them with a few hefty slaps.

"Get up and eat! Stop sleeping."

The two were pretty dazed after being slapped awake. Who were they? Where were they? Was it time to eat? Oh, then everything was fine.

All three were already starving. They turned into ravenous ghosts and shoveled food down like there was no tomorrow. Anyone who wasn't enthusiastic about eating had something wrong with their priorities.

They had barely said a word after finishing when snores rang out. Looking at the two of them, Meihui felt rather helpless. Why were they like pigs?

There was nothing for it. He was exhausted after a long day himself, and fell asleep the moment he lay down. Soon, another round of snoring joined in-a three-part symphony.

Several days passed like this. Then, one morning, Kakashi woke them up, saying the bridge was nearly finished and asking them to come along to keep watch.

When they reached the bridge, they found Zabuza already waiting for them.

"Kakashi, you certainly took your time. You kept me waiting quite a while. If you'd taken any longer, I would've killed these people."

Only because Meihui had spoken to Haku beforehand had these workers escaped being killed by Zabuza.

Looking at Haku beside Zabuza, Kakashi thought to himself.

Sure enough, that ANBU from the other day was a fake. I was fooled.

Kakashi wasted no more words and charged straight in. The Konoha Technician you ordered had arrived. Please, begin your performance.

Meanwhile, Haku held off Meihui and the other two alone, leaving Kakashi to fight Zabuza.

"Secret Ice Release Technique: Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals!"

Haku struck first. Several ice mirrors surrounded the three of them, a layer of frost drifting over his masked form.

"If that's how it's going to be, we'll have to fight. Sasuke, shut the door and unleash Naruto."

Although Naruto wasn't too happy with his older brother's ridiculous remarks, he had long since gotten used to them.

With the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique, a horde of Narutos appeared. Before they could do anything, Haku wiped out nearly all of them with just a few senbon.

"Your shadow clones are useless against me. Ice Release: Ice Dragon Crushing Kill!"

An ice dragon appeared and charged straight at Naruto and Sasuke. Naruto failed to dodge in time and was sent flying.

Seeing Sasuke freeze up, Haku darted in and out of the ice mirrors several times, creating duplicate images and flinging senbon straight at him.

By the time Sasuke reacted, it was too late to dodge. He could only barely fend them off with Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique. He had just managed to block one wave of attacks when another followed, leaving him no time to evade.

Meihui tried to rush over and help, but Haku's real body kept him occupied. Haku was still quite formidable at this point, and Meihui, lacking combat experience, was sent flying.

"Ow, that really hurts. This gender-swapped Haku sure hits hard."

Just as the senbon were about to strike Sasuke, Naruto suddenly appeared and took the incoming needles for him, getting skewered like a hedgehog.

Seeing Naruto fall in front of him, Sasuke roared in fury, his two-tomoe eyes evolving straight into three-tomoe eyes. It really had to be you, Naruto. Back during the clan massacre, Itachi had forced Sasuke to watch several horror movies before Uchiha Sasuke finally awakened a single tomoe in his rage.

Sacrifice Naruto, and Sasuke gained boundless power. Sacrifice his entire clan, and he angrily awakened one tomoe. Who would believe there wasn't something going on between these two? This was obviously true love.

Meihui went straight over to Naruto. Seeing that he was breathing steadily, he tugged at him, telling him to get up.

"And you, Sasuke, quit yelling. Naruto isn't going to die. Stop playing dead and get up already."

Only then did Naruto climb off the ground. Seeing how much Sasuke cared about him had left him a little excited.

Sasuke was dumbfounded. What the hell? He'd been injured that badly, yet he was practically fine? This world made no scientific sense.

Sasuke stopped worrying about it and charged at Haku with a Chidori, taking his anger out on him.

Haku was unfamiliar with Sasuke's technique. With Sasuke also benefiting from his Three-Tomoe Sharingan, Haku failed to dodge in time. The attack grazed his mask, shattering it.

When Naruto saw Haku's face beneath the mask, he was completely stunned. Sasuke wasn't much better off.
