Naruto was still stunned. The man before him was actually Sasuke's older brother, the enemy Sasuke hated, and he showed no mercy when beating Sasuke up.
But in Meihui's eyes, the scene went like this: Itachi suddenly attacked Sasuke. Smack! A right roundhouse kick. Smack! A left front kick. Then came a massive slap that left Sasuke completely dazed.
A puff of smoke appeared, and a toad suddenly hopped out. Jiraiya had arrived.
With a woman slung over his shoulder, Jiraiya shamelessly declared, "How could a man as overflowing with hormones as me fall for a honey trap? Women usually throw themselves at me!"
The air suddenly went still, and everyone gave Jiraiya strange looks.
"Seriously, you're really going to make this awkward, huh?" Meihui felt rather helpless too.
Naruto exposed him outright, saying that a single flirtatious glance from a woman would leave a pervy old man like him too excited to move.
But our honest fellow Kisame didn't see it that way.
"Our opponent is one of the renowned Sannin. How could such a petty trick fool him?" Anyone listening to Kisame might have believed him-if they didn't already know what he was like.
Jiraiya wasted no more breath and went straight into action, shielding the brothers, Meihui and Naruto, behind him.
"Ninja art: Toad mouth bind!" The surrounding walls were instantly covered in a layer of flesh as Jiraiya summoned the esophagus of a giant toad from Mount Myōboku.
Seeing the jutsu before them, Itachi and Kisame hurried to flee. Jiraiya clearly intended to trap them there. Itachi led Kisame to the end of the corridor and activated his Mangekyō Sharingan's ability.
"Amaterasu!"
The flames burned through the wall, and the two escaped. By the time Jiraiya caught up, Itachi and Kisame were already mere silhouettes in
