The brothers Elec and Jass were discussing how to expand their family's territory and make it the most powerful force in the universe.
Calling it a discussion was generous. Elec did all the talking while Jass listened silently.
Their plan was very simple.
They would kill every powerful fighter who could threaten their family's interests.
They would absorb any faction that submitted and wipe out any that dared defy them.
Those who obeyed would prosper; those who resisted would perish!
Once their power reached a certain level, all schemes and tricks became useless.
Everything became simple and direct.
Resting his chin on both hands, Elec said, "If we want to conquer this universe and become its most powerful force, then we have to eliminate the Galactic Patrol. Those damned patrolmen keep getting in our way. They're a real nuisance. They've held back the Heeters' growth all these years. Without the Galactic Patrol, our family would be several times stronger than it is now, no matter what!"
"So our first target will be Galactic Patrol Headquarters. We'll wipe the Galactic Patrol out of existence and liberate the Galactic Prison. Hahaha!"
Listening to Elec's impassioned speech, Jass gave a slight nod and replied, "All right."
Even now, Jass had no idea that he actually had only two years left to live...
Elec glanced at him. "Jass, you should be happier. You can't keep saying so little."
Jass nodded. "Okay."
