Without a doubt, Nagato and his Six Paths were the most difficult opponents Kakashi had faced since the start of his career.
The perfect dōjutsu bestowed by the God's Eye, six controlled corpses of powerful fighters, and flawless coordination made possible by their shared vision.
Most importantly, Nagato knew all about Kakashi's abilities, while Kakashi knew nothing about Nagato. For Kakashi, this was bound to be a battle fought in the dark.

Five homing missiles shot out of his arms in defiance of all technological logic, circling through the air before hurtling toward the retreating Might Guy.
Even as Guy was about to be hit, Kakashi showed no sign of worry. He knew this man wouldn't go down so easily.

Sure enough, Might Guy forced open the Seventh Gate of the Eight Gates of Death-the Gate of Wonder-while still in midair, breaking free of Nagato's repulsive force. With a few casual strikes, tremendous power tore through the air and shattered all five missiles before they could reach him.
Leaving an attack unanswered simply wasn't their style.
