After the survivors returned to the Real World, Su Bai was drawn into a new nightmare game at Hospital No. 666, where he entered the Newborn Ward and was blinded.

• Feng Yan boarded the Route 666 Bus after the mist drew passengers aboard, and he learned that its exhausted human riders could not escape while the bus remained unfilled.
• Feng Yan explained the Relevant Authorities’ investigation and used Mist Shop items to identify the passengers and the bus as a Strange Creature.
• Su Bai boarded the bus, inferred that it needed one more human passenger, and contacted Wu Heng, who arrived in a Doll shell.
• Su Bai and Wu Heng realized the bus was draining passengers’ qi-blood through its seats, so they moved everyone into the aisle and prepared to attack its core.
• Su Bai’s companions restrained the bus’s tentacles, and Little Black pierced its heart, stopping the bus and allowing Feng Yan and the passengers to escape.
• Wu Heng secretly took a crimson crystal from the dead heart, and Su Bai and Wu Heng disappeared after the survivors reached the Real World.
• Feng Yan reported the incident and resolved to train harder, while Su Bai was drawn into a nightmare game at Hospital No. 666’s Newborn Ward.
• The Administrator gave the Players seventy-two hours in the ward and warned them to follow its rules, then Su Bai realized the hospital had made him blind.

Su Bai and the other Players entered Hospital No. 666’s Newborn Ward, where hidden illnesses, dangerous rules, and moving nurses threatened their survival. After Xiang Feiyu was punished for breaking a rule, the group returned to Room 1406, and Le Shiya suddenly felt dizzy.

• Su Bai met Le Shiya during free exploration, accepted her offer to guide him, and teamed up with her as the Players discovered that the Newborn Ward’s corridors formed a loop.
• The group gathered at the Nurses’ Station, where Xie Ying explained that the hospital had been altering their bodies and that none of them could be assumed healthy.
• The nurse assigned the Players to wards and announced the rules, including staying in their rooms during rest time and never entering the fifteenth floor.
• When the corridor lights went out, the Players barricaded their room and introduced their abilities while Xie Ying warned that the wards might not be safe.
• The Players explored the corridors and found motionless nurses wearing faces familiar to those who saw them, then discovered that the nurses could not be trusted to offer comfort.
• The group visited the thirteenth-floor dining room, avoided the forbidden drinks, and Le Shiya told Su Bai about her grandmother, debts, and lack of support from the Special Action Group.
• Back on the fourteenth floor, the nurses moved whenever the lights went out, and Su Bai inferred that an enormous tree’s branches controlled them.
• Xiang Feiyu appeared younger after a near fall, leading Xie Ying to suspect a rule violation had caused the change, and Le Shiya then told Su Bai she felt dizzy.

As the Newborn Ward’s dangers escalated, Su Bai and the other players fought the nurses, learned meditation, and were driven by deadly mist onto the fifteenth floor. There they uncovered the Mother Tree of Life’s role in the ward and faced its claim that its victims were children it had to protect.

• Su Bai used Blood Butterflies to rouse the players from the Strange Creature’s mental beguilement, and Tian Yue helped Feng Xuelan escape an illusion by attacking a disguised nurse.
• The group combined their abilities to destroy a nurse’s withered branch, after which Xie Ying introduced Deep Dive’s meditation method and helped the players practice it.
• As the corridors grew dangerously hot, Chi Yan, Su Bai, Le Shiya, and Xie Ying went upstairs to investigate, but corrosive mist blocked their return and communication with the others.
• Su Bai summoned Cry, who explained that the Newborn Ward’s Strange Creature predated Hospital No. 666, then warned the group to avoid the hospital and survive the required seventy-two hours.
• The group entered the fifteenth floor as the mist closed in, where withered branches attacked and Su Bai shielded everyone with Blood Epiphyllum’s vines.
• The Strange Creature spoke of the Mother Tree of Life, and the fifteenth floor’s false walls collapsed to reveal a corridor woven from its branches, with unconscious babies enclosed in flesh-colored sacs.
• The Mother Tree said grief had let it isolate the ward after its children repeatedly died in disasters, while Su Bai accused it of turning people into helpless infants and called the ward a hell.
• The Mother Tree attacked Su Bai’s Blood Vine and declared that disobedient children deserved to die and nourish its other children.

Su Bai and his companions destroyed the Mother Tree of Life, then Su Bai absorbed its power while Wu Heng cared for him. Wu Heng brought him into a Nightmare World office game, where the players took jobs for the Dream Weaver’s company and began uncovering the building’s strange operations.

• Su Bai and his puzzle pieces burned and tore apart the Mother Tree of Life, then opened its fruit and let the infants inside return to dust.
• Su Bai and Wu Heng devoured the dying tree’s power, and Blood Epiphyllum took the sapling the tree had preserved before the group returned to Hospital No. 666.
• The Administrator sent Su Bai back to the Real World, and Wu Heng helped him sleep through the painful adjustment as he absorbed the Weird Tree’s power.
• Wu Heng brought the recovering Su Bai into a Nightmare Game set in an office building, where the players learned about employee points, vending machines, and the two-month contract.
• Su Bai chose an A-Rank coffee-making assignment, while Wu Heng accepted an S-Rank delivery job and returned with his doll damaged after delivering coffee to Strange Creatures.
• Su Bai transferred power to Wu Heng with a kiss, and Wu Heng explained that the coffee had made the Strange Creatures work in an orderly state.
• Wu Heng rented dormitories for himself and Su Bai, while the headless receptionist and Manager Jiao monitored the building and worried over the Dream Weaver’s absence.
• Manager Jiao raised the minimum job rank to B, assigned Su Bai and Wen Ya to the forty-sixth floor, and Su Bai noticed Bai Qi buying an expensive item from the Weapon Vending Machine.
