Chapter Summaries

Lynn proposed freeing the divine seats so the gods embodying the rules could return, then turned the discussion into a mass appointment ceremony. He left the Origins and even the Night Doctors enthusiastically claiming godhoods while Sir Awen and the Self-Binding Angel tried to contain the embarrassment.

Lynn and the Sin Lord descended beneath the abandoned Demon Association headquarters to find the third Raven’s corpse, but signs of a Polluter invasion appeared in the abyss. Lynn stopped at a jutting platform after seeing something that shocked him.

• Lynn led the Sin Lord through a hidden barrier into a vast underground ruin beneath the Demon Association’s former headquarters.
• Lynn explained that the third Raven’s corpse lay at the bottom of a deep abyss and warned that Polluters might appear.
• Lynn’s mask warmed, and he sensed turbulent time ripples indicating an invasion from outside time.

Lynn and the Sin Lord descended through the Abyss, where they found the corpses of countless Polluters and a dead origin around an open temporal rift. At the bottom, Lynn saw a figure resembling him alongside Feather Pen and realized the figure was not his future self.

After Lynn lost three minutes of memory, he found the others terrified and a severed lock of hair at the God King’s feet, leaving him unsure what had happened.

• The Sin Lord and Lynn faced the God King, Feather Pen, and the Pighead Butcher at a temporal rift in a node of Pollution.
