Enel sounded rather helpless:
"One of my boys at Headquarters has lost his mind or something. He wants to go undercover."
"That kid's too soft."
"And his fighting ability... where do I even start?"
"I'm going to get him something to protect himself."
Vegapunk nodded:
"I see..."
"Wait here."
Then he turned and walked into his private laboratory.
A moment later, he came out carrying a sword and handed it to Enel:
"Take this."
"The weapons I've been researching are too advanced and dangerous to hand out."
"But this one should be fine, and it's easy to carry around."
Enel took the longsword and hefted it:
"Is there... anything special about it?"
"That kid's swordsmanship isn't great either."
Vegapunk smiled:
"This is a sword that ate a Devil Fruit."
"Though progress on the Pacifistas has been slow, we haven't been entirely without results."
"This is one of the results of our research into the Lineage Factor."
"Technology that allows objects to eat Devil Fruits."
Vegapunk reached over and took the sword from Enel:
"Funkfreed."

An elephant's trumpet rang out from the blade.
The sword in Vegapunk's hand gradually grew larger, transforming into a giant elephant.
Its two front legs touched the ground, while its rear remained a sword blade, extending endlessly, with the hilt held in Vegapunk's hand.
Its trunk became an enormous blade, scaled to match its body.
As Vegapunk swung it, the enormous elephant slashed from side to side as though it weighed nothing.
Vegapunk noticed Enel's confusion:
"Because the sword's weight remains the same."
"So even after it becomes an elephant, its beast form doesn't weigh any more."
"Compared to an ordinary elephant..."
"It has incredible speed and defenses like steel."
"And holding the hilt lets you communicate with it through your thoughts."
"The tip can
