In the silent underground ruins.
Heart-wrenching dry heaves rang out, echoing through the space without end.
Sakazuki was putting the blueprints into a gold briefcase he had smelted when he heard them.
As though something had occurred to him, the corners of his mouth lifted...
Click!
He shut the briefcase and lifted it with his left hand, then grabbed a corner of the two-meter-long Ark Maxim with his right.
With his immense strength, Sakazuki lifted the model straight off the ground and walked out of the main chamber.
Reaching the passage, he called to the two of them:
"Let's go."
Carol came out first, all smiles.
Enel followed with a sallow face, leaning against the wall as he walked.
His legs wouldn't stop trembling. Vomiting had left him weak.
Seeing Enel in that state, Sakazuki asked:
"How did it taste?"
The moment he brought it up, Enel's expression changed, and his stomach churned uncontrollably.
He covered his mouth with both hands, his voice furious:
"Don't mention that thing!"
Sakazuki smiled, set the Ark Maxim model on the ground, and walked over to pick Enel up.
He placed him on the Ark Maxim's deck.
The two-meter-long model had more than enough room for a three-year-old child. It was a perfect fit. He continued:
"Can you use your power now? Give it a try."
Enel sat on the Ark Maxim and caught his breath.
At Sakazuki's words, he held out his hands and stared intently at them, putting something that felt innate within his mind into motion.
Crackle!
Electric light flickered and danced across his hands, accompanied by the distinctive crackle of lightning. Enel stared at them with a silly grin.
Sakazuki spoke then:
"Put your hands on that control lever and try channeling your power."
