Ye Guyi grew up within the persecuted Angel Clan, whose members were stigmatized as remnants of Spirit Hall. Her clan’s account traces its survival in Star Luo to Qian Renxue’s withdrawal there after Spirit Hall’s destruction. Relations with the Xu Family later improved the clan’s position, but the rise of evil soul masters made angel soul masters preferred targets 2.

At three years old, Ye Guyi was cornered in an abandoned church by children who threw stones at her and called her a “Spirit Hall bastard.” Yu Mengdi drove them away with her newly awakened angel martial soul. The two grew up together around the church, finding moments of freedom chasing butterflies and dreaming of leaving for somewhere they would not be recognized 21.

After discovering that nobles and soul master sects secretly employed evil soul masters, Ye Guyi sought a future in the Sun Moon Empire. She worked at the Mingyue Hotel to fund her cultivation and soul-tool studies, concealing her martial soul and aura to avoid attracting attention 2 12.

Previous-Life History

In Huo Yuhao’s previous life, Ye Guyi killed the evil soul master Huang Zheng while defending a companion from the Ordinary Alliance. Huo Yuhao sheltered her in the Undead Demiplane afterward. She later joined the Tang Sect and married into the Yue Family; Huo Yuhao recalls that the Tang Family’s forgiveness allowed the Angel Clan to recover its standing. Ye Guyi meets Huo Yuhao while cleaning his hotel room. He recognizes her sacred aura and warns her that Sun Moon is not free of evil soul masters. Their friendship develops through his assistance with disguise tools and concern for her safety 2 3 4 14.

After finding Yu Mengdi murdered at the hotel, Ye Guyi resolves to retaliate. Huo Yuhao helps conceal her movements and locate the responsible evil soul master. When a Titled Douluo-led attack strikes the hotel, his secretly prepared magic array saves her, and she takes refuge in the Undead Demiplane 20 21 23 143.

Academy Training, Injury, and Rescue

After accepting Huo Yuhao’s help, Ye Guyi leaves the demiplane and begins training under Xuan Ziwen. Shortly after passing his test, she is caught in Mingdu’s catastrophic explosion, suffering a broken left leg and severe blood loss. Huo Yuhao, Snow Girl, and Little Angel Baby organize her treatment 25 29 30.

Representing the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy, she faces four Holy Spirit Sect members in an individual match. After her robe saves her from Gu Yu’s assassination attempt, she beheads him and kills Lu Genggeng, Yan Feng, and Tang Dai with one further strike 78 79.

Undead Crisis and Dou Ling Rescue

Ye Guyi fights physical undead alongside the party, protects companions with supportive techniques, and channels gained angel power into her pendant. She also invites Nan Shuishui and Nan Qiuqiu to travel with the group 98 102.
