Power Progression
The documented rank advancement concerns Tang Hao and Ah Yin, whose cultivation forms a central part of the family’s planetary takeover.
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Second-Level Gods | 52 | Tang Hao and Ah Yin consume Douluo Star’s plane consciousness while remaining in the mortal world rather than fulfilling their Divine Realm duties. |
| First-Level Gods | 173 | Their advancement is confirmed retrospectively: the Golden Dragon King helped them reach this rank through his cooperation with Tang San. |
- Their original plan was to become the Plane Master and life core, then attain God-King status when Douluo Continent advanced into a Divine Realm. This is a planned outcome, not a confirmed advancement in the current timeline 1.
- In Huo Yuhao’s previous life, the family eventually possessed six God-Kings, while Tang Wutong remained a Second-Level God 142.
Membership and Hierarchy
| Member | Position and Significance |
|---|---|
| Tang San | Patriarch and architect of the Tang Family Dynasty. His control of the Divine Realm Center gives the faction a decisive political and surveillance advantage 93 173. |
| Tang Hao | Tang San’s father and Tang Wutong’s grandfather. Works with Ah Yin to replace Douluo Star’s original plane consciousness 52 103. |
| Ah Yin / Blue Silver Emperor | Tang San’s mother and Tang Hao’s partner in the Golden Tree scheme. Consumes Mu En through Blue Silver Grass 52. |
| Xiao Wu | Tang San’s wife and the Heavenly Empress. Carries Tang Wulin under conditions imposed by the family’s plan and its cooperation with the Golden Dragon King 26 73. |
| Tang Wutong | Tang San’s daughter, the family princess, and the new-generation Butterfly God. Serves as the principal emotional means of binding Huo Yuhao to the family 72 141 160. |
| Tang Wulin | Xiao Wu’s son and the family’s Crown Prince in the future remembered by Huo Yuhao 24 73. |
| Lan Xuanyu | Tang San’s grandson, styled the family’s “Holy Grandson” in Huo Yuhao’s recollections. His eventual importance eclipses even Tang Wulin’s standing 14 115. |
| Huo Zhanji | Ostensibly Huo Yuhao’s second son, but actually Tang San’s avatar, intended to return to Falan Star and rule its Divine Realm 160. |
Internal Rules
- Patriarchal obedience: Tang San treats the principles of ruler over subject, father over son, and husband over wife as inviolable. Tang Wutong understands that violating this order would leave her no place within the family’s power structure 52.
- Rank does not guarantee favor: Tang San deliberately leaves Tang Wutong at Second-Level God status despite having the resources to grant her a higher divine seat 142.
- Kinship does not prevent disposal: After Tang Wutong leaks family secrets to the God of Destruction, Tang San sends her to the Golden Dragon King rather than openly accepting the blame for killing his daughter 160.
- Unequal family standing: Despite becoming a God-King in his previous life, Huo Yuhao remains an outsider in the family’s eyes. His mother continues serving the Dai Family and Tang Wutong rather than receiving the honor due to a God-King’s mother 9 180.
Background / History
Rise to Divine Authority
The original God-Kings of Good and Evil entrust the Douluo God Realm to Tang San before leaving. Combined with his Asura God position, this allows him to nominally represent three of the realm’s original five supreme gods. The family uses this arrangement to claim the Divine Realm as its own, while possession of the Divine Realm Center gives it access to its opponents’ movements 103 173.
On Douluo Star, Tang San publicly presents the Golden Tree as a gift benefiting humanity. Its actual purpose is to let Tang Hao and Ah Yin parasitize the planet and replace its original consciousness. Huo Yuhao identifies the Tang Sect’s decline as a sacrifice made to support this undertaking 1 103.
Huo Yuhao’s Previous Life
Huo Yuhao originally serves the family through its conflict with the God of Destruction, its struggles inside a black hole, and its expansion toward other worlds. He lends Electrolux’s staff to Long Haochen to redeem the God of Anathema and help bring him into the family’s faction. His son Huo Zhanji is later sent to Falan Star to establish a Divine Realm 1.
That apparent family relationship conceals extensive control. Tang San holds Huo Yun’er as leverage, while Tang Wutong’s image becomes the emotional foundation of Huo Yuhao’s divine power. Huo Yuhao eventually learns that Huo Zhanji is Tang San’s avatar and that raising him required reenacting Tang San’s childhood without violating the family’s superior–subordinate hierarchy 8 160.
Later revelations show the family handing Huo Yuhao over to hostile beings who dissect and torture him. After his death, Tang Wutong kills the Goddess of Light to conceal her use of the goddess’s appearance. Huo Yuhao’s initial account attributes his return to the beginning of his life to the God Star’s explosion after Tang San’s ultimate plan fails 1 180 181.
Abilities and Methods
Divine Surveillance
- Divine Realm Center: Reveals changes within the God of Destruction’s faction, including the actions of individual Divine Officials 173.
- Covert intelligence network: Huo Yuhao describes the family’s surveillance as extending throughout the Divine Realm, covering residents’ movements and thoughts 110.
- Purple Demon Eye: At Supreme God level, Tang San can read hearts and inspect memories. Comparable Supreme Gods and Rong Nianbing are identified as exceptions to his ability to uncover secrets 63.
- Tactical analysis: The family examines Huo Yuhao’s escape from the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud frame by frame and concludes that he possesses First-Level God-level means 90.
Personality Manipulation
- Induced loyal personalities: The family silently cultivates personalities favorable to itself within targets. Huo Yuhao develops the Worry-Free Art partly to expose these distortions by comparing a person’s current temperament with their innermost nature 115.
- Replacement of Huo Yuhao: Tang San plans for a loyal
[Huo Yuhao]personality to refine away the reborn protagonist’s personality 67. - Enforced obedience: The replacement
[Huo Yuhao]is contaminated by the Sea God Palace’s ocean origin, allowing Tang San to reclaim and torment him if he becomes disloyal 93.
Scripted Destiny
- Predetermined life events: Huo Yuhao states that every frame of his original life was fixed before his birth; the family adjusts its interventions according to his departures from that script 113.
- Emotional arrangements: Tang Wutong’s borrowed appearance, Ma Xiaotao’s older-sister role, and Xiao Xiao’s destiny-related connection are intended to guide him into the family’s service 72.
- Spiritual seeds: Tang San places a Spirit Love Seed inside the Lovesick Heartbreak Red. Tang Wutong secretly substitutes a Spirit Hate Seed, disrupting his arrangements 71.
- Recreated worlds: In the previous timeline, the Temporal Tower enables the creation of planes reproducing historical periods. The family also establishes the Douluo World game with a “Peerless Tang Sect” instance 24 135.
Faith and Public Image
- Manufactured history: Huo Yuhao identifies fabricated accounts of Tang San’s rise and notes that History of Douluo and Sea God’s Record of Exorcising Evil blur the distinction between history and storybook legend 80.
- Savior strategy: After its earlier arrangements fail, the family seeks wholehearted faith by presenting itself as humanity’s rescuer rather than relying on intimidation or promises of benefit 136.
- Selective rules: Its governing principle becomes following rules that benefit the family and rejecting those that do not 144.
Assets and Affiliated Organizations
- Divine Realm Center — Central instrument of the family’s divine authority and surveillance 173.

- God of Destruction — Principal divine political rival. The family’s control of the Divine Realm Center makes his faction’s actions visible to Tang San 173.
- Rong Nianbing — Resists Tang Wutong’s attempt to disqualify Huo Yuhao from inheriting his divine seat and later defends his student from accusations of conspiracy against the family 103 110.

- Tang Ya — A sect descendant used in an attempted romantic arrangement with Huo Yuhao. Tang San promises her a destined marriage and the Tang Sect’s revival 70.
