Why are you taking an outsider's side?
Kabulosius stared at the M'tok Ambassador in disbelief, though he was not particularly angry. That was simply how the M'tok were.
"It is a great displeasure to meet you, Marshal of the Interstellar Human Military Junta," the M'tok Ambassador said, looking down at Xi Yan.
Xi Yan tilted his head back and smiled. "Ah, I'm delighted to meet you, you hideous stone person. Seeing an ugly thing like you really makes my day."
"Huh? You dare insult me?" The M'tok Ambassador's voice abruptly rose several pitches.
Xi Yan stepped back, sat in his seat, crossed his legs, and spread his hands. "Hey, bro, let's be honest. We both look down on each other, so why not have a vicious exchange of insults to prove who's superior?"
"Does your culture teach you how to insult people? I'd love to see whether you Stone People's insults are as disgusting as your faces."
Xi Yan went all out on the offensive. Seeing Ailiveer's mouth hanging open, he casually tapped it, producing a popping sound and earning a glare from the young Secretary of State. Can't you keep your damn hands to yourself?
"Lowly human, you little thing, you make an excellent point. I will use my proud M'tok culture to insult you until you concede defeat wholeheartedly." The M'tok Ambassador settled into his custom-made seat like a solemn stone statue.
A fierce fighting spirit blazed between them.
"As an outstanding M'tok, I look down on your species. However, your personality is very much to my liking."
"If a life-form like you approves of me, my life is officially over," Xi Yan sneered.
Wait, this... this isn't right, is it?
The four humans and Frog-Head Kabulosius exchanged looks.
Why had their respective leaders suddenly started trading insults?
