Ye Qing and his Pokémon defeated Wang Jingke’s bandits and stopped his attack on Master Wang, but Wang Jingke summoned Kyurem in a final bid for revenge. Kyurem unleashed a Blizzard as Ye Qing and his Pokémon stood to face him, leaving the battle about to begin.

• Mega Gengar exploited Shedinja’s weakness while Infernape knocked Rapidash aside, saving Master Wang from Wang Jingke’s spear.
• Celebi and Jirachi routed the remaining Rapidash, and Volcarona melted Wang Jingke’s spear before Master Wang urged his son to turn back.
• Wang Jingke fled, called out DNA Splicers, and summoned Kyurem, whose icy power extinguished the forest fires and froze the woods.
• Ye Qing realized Kyurem was the threat that had led Celebi to seek his help a thousand years in the past.
• Ye Qing’s Pokémon gathered to protect him as Kyurem dismissed them and sent a Blizzard sweeping toward them.

Ye Qing and the villagers fought Kyurem, but his overwhelming power froze their Pokémon and killed many villagers. Kyurem demanded his DNA Splicers, and Wang Yanying revealed that she had once given them to Venusaur to play with.

• Infernape, Mega Gengar, Garchomp, and Gardevoir failed to stop Kyurem's Blizzard, while Master Wang's Volcarona was frozen by Kyurem's Ice Beam.
• Kyurem unleashed Glaciate as the villagers fled, and the ice spikes pierced Jirachi and Celebi's barrier, killing or freezing people inside it.
• Infernape broke free using Ho-Oh's flames and struck Kyurem with a lava staff, but Kyurem retaliated with Dragon Breath and knocked Celebi away.
• Kyurem offered to spare whoever brought him his DNA Splicers, then froze Rapidash after Wang Jingke questioned him.
• Ye Qing drew the DNA Splicers for Master Wang, and Wang Yanying remembered giving them to Venusaur to use as a spinning toy.

Ye Qing and his Pokémon fought Kyurem while he tried to summon Mew through Jirachi’s wish. Mew ignored the call and went back to sleep, leaving the battle desperate as Kyurem reached Ye Qing and bit into Milotic’s tail.

• Kyurem raged after Ye Qing mocked its DNA Splicers, froze Infernape, and pushed the defenders back.
• Ye Qing called to Second Brother through Mew’s Mark, but Mew sensed the summons, dismissed it, and returned to sleep.
• As Kyurem approached, Master Wang discovered Madam Zhao had fled, while Jirachi agreed to help Ye Qing summon Mew.
• Celebi summoned two companions, and the three bound Kyurem with vines while Jirachi opened its True Eye to send a beam toward the comet.
• Kyurem broke free, trapped the village in ice, and struck down the Celebi as Ye Qing urged Jirachi to hurry.
• Milotic attacked Kyurem to protect Ye Qing, but Kyurem crushed its tail and bit into it.

Milotic and the elders risked their lives to protect Ye Qing and Jirachi while Jirachi completed its Wish and summoned Mew. Mew healed the survivors, then confronted Kyurem as it tried to continue its attack.

• Milotic and the Shiny Celebi tried to slow Kyurem, while Master Wang and the village elders sacrificed themselves to shield Ye Qing, Jirachi, and the children.
• Milotic shoved her tail into Kyurem’s mouth to protect Ye Qing, then was flung aside and collapsed, wishing she had been stronger.
• Ye Qing stood between Jirachi and Kyurem’s Dragon Rage, and the Spoon Mark’s barrier protected him long enough for Jirachi to complete its Wish and summon Mew.
• Kyurem struck Ye Qing again, while the exhausted Jirachi healed him and Milotic before losing consciousness.
• Mew used Heal Pulse to melt Kyurem’s frost and stabilize the wounded, then confronted Kyurem after it attacked to stop the healing.

Mew fought Kyurem while Celebi and Jirachi tried to save Ye Qing, Milotic, and the others. Milotic used Jirachi’s final wish to revive everyone, and Jirachi woke briefly before preparing to enter its thousand-year sleep.

• Mew attacked Kyurem and tried to keep it from reaching the village, while Celebi used its remaining strength to heal Ye Qing and Milotic.
• Jirachi woke and offered its final wish; Milotic wished for everyone to recover instead of wishing to become stronger.
• Jirachi opened its True Eye and spread the comet’s power over the area, restoring the injured and bringing the dead back to life.
• Ye Qing awoke and reunited with Milotic, while the group discovered that Jirachi had fallen unconscious after granting the wish.
• The three Celebi revived Jirachi, which told Ye Qing it was going to sleep and looked toward Milotic, aware she had set aside her desire for strength.

After Jirachi returned to sleep, Ye Qing helped the villagers celebrate their survival and received two prototype Berry Balls from Master Wang. He returned to his own time after seven days, planning to confront Second Brother and hoping Celebi would bring Wang Yanying to visit.

• Ye Qing and the others said goodbye as Jirachi returned to the earth, while Kyurem fled after discovering the DNA Splicers were gone.
• The villagers awoke, reunited with their loved ones, and celebrated their survival; Master Wang returned to the Studio to make Master Balls.
• Ye Qing asked Celebi to take Wang Yanying through time with him, but Celebi refused; it agreed to bring her over after Ye Qing returned.

Ye Qing returned home, where Latias and Diancie competed for his affection, then tested a Berry Ball on Diancie and visited the unconscious Wang Yao with recordings of Wang Yanying. Wang Yao still showed no response, leaving Ye Qing waiting for him to awaken.

• Mew got angry when Ye Qing interrupted his game, but Ye Qing backed down, and Latias and Diancie competed to kiss him.
• Ye Qing checked the news, learned that Xie Yu and two others had their warrants withdrawn, and wondered why they had not contacted him.
• Ye Qing tricked Diancie into entering the Berry Ball, then let her out and promised to have it modified after she complained it was cramped.
• Ye Qing asked where Psyduck was, and his mother angrily said that Psyduck had renounced worldly life.
• Ye Qing visited the unconscious Wang Yao and played recordings of Wang Yanying, but Wang Yao did not respond.

Ye Qing reunited with Mewtwo, who wanted a strong opponent, and led him and his Pokémon to Kyurem’s lair. They found Kyurem asleep in a snowy cavern, where Ye Qing shouted until he woke it.

• Ye Qing left a recorder looping beside Wang Yao and departed after declining Nurse Joy’s fruit platter.
• Mewtwo appeared to Ye Qing in a surreal, silent street and asked whether he had found an opponent.
• Ye Qing named Kyurem as a target, and Mewtwo teleported with him to the Forbidden Territory to search for Kyurem’s lair.
• Mewtwo located Kyurem’s cave, and Ye Qing released his Pokémon as they followed him inside.
• The group found Kyurem sleeping in a cavern, and Mewtwo learned about Ye Qing’s past encounter with it.
• Ye Qing shouted at Kyurem to wake up, and his echoing voice roused the sleeping Pokémon.

Mega Mewtwo X and Y fought Kyurem, overwhelming him with their speed and power until a massive Shadow Ball buried him beneath the shattered mountain summit. Ye Qing and his Pokémon watched safely from a protective bubble as Kyurem lay motionless, experiencing helplessness for the first time.

• Mewtwo transformed into Mega Mewtwo X and struck Kyurem so hard that he crashed into a mountain wall.
• Kyurem covered himself in ice armor and attacked with Glaciate, but Mega Mewtwo X shattered his defenses with a flaming punch.
• Kyurem activated Outrage and gathered power while Gardevoir shielded Ye Qing and the others from the freezing wind.
• Mega Mewtwo X changed into Mega Mewtwo Y and formed an enormous Shadow Ball as Kyurem charged at him.
• Mega Mewtwo Y crushed Kyurem with the Shadow Ball and protected Ye Qing and the Pokémon inside a pink bubble as the mountain summit was destroyed.
• Kyurem lay motionless beneath the rubble, overwhelmed by a sense of helplessness.

Ye Qing returned from Mewtwo’s battle with Kyurem and made plans to challenge the Battle Tower, while assuring a Fighting-type Elite Four member that he would investigate the Luo Family carefully. He then visited the temple where Psyduck had taken up a monk’s life and found him meditating in a bamboo grove.

• Mewtwo defeated Kyurem, gave him Reshiram’s coordinates, and sent Ye Qing home.
• Ye Qing chose the Battle Tower as his first Battle Frontier destination and called his grandfather about getting Garchomp a Mega Stone Setting.
• The Fighting-type Elite Four member told Ye Qing that Luo Moyun was dead and Council Member Luo had stepped down; Ye Qing said he planned to investigate the Luo Family before acting.
• Ye Qing went to the temple with Ditto to bring Psyduck home and learned the monks called him Duck Master.
• A young monk led Ye Qing to the bamboo grove, where Psyduck sat meditating with prayer beads.

Ye Qing tried to bring Psyduck home, but Psyduck had adopted a monk’s manner and refused to leave. Celebi arrived with Wang Yanying, whom Ye Qing welcomed to the future, and her questions about Jirachi left him unsure how much time had passed.

• Ye Qing, Ditto, and Diancie tried to get Psyduck’s attention, but he said he was cultivating immortality and asked them to leave.
• Ye Qing left Ditto behind to discourage Psyduck from staying at the temple and returned home with the others.
• Celebi appeared in Ye Qing’s courtyard with Wang Yanying, while Ye Mom excitedly welcomed the time-traveling Pokémon.
• Ye Qing told Wang Yanying she was a thousand years in the future and that Wang Yao lived there.
• Wang Yanying asked whether Jirachi was about to wake up again, and Ye Qing admitted he did not know exactly how far apart the eras were.

Ye Qing took Wang Yanying to Wang Yao’s home, where she touched a fragment of a spoon and saw memories connecting her to Wang Yao. After confirming she still wanted to meet him, Ye Qing brought her to a clothing store, where she chose a red dress.

• Ye Qing left Celebi with Ye Mom and took Wang Yanying to Wang Yao’s villa.
• At Wang Yao’s room, Wang Yanying touched a spoon fragment beside a photograph of herself, and the fragment shattered as Ye Qing’s Spoon Mark grew hot.
• Wang Yanying saw memories of Wang Yao and the other Wang Yanying, then told Ye Qing she still wanted to see Wang Yao.
• Ye Qing took Wang Yanying to a clothing store, where she chose a red dress that he thought resembled a wedding dress.

Ye Qing brought Wang Yanying to see the comatose Wang Yao and explained how the two had been connected across a thousand years. Wang Yanying’s voice stirred a reaction in Wang Yao, but he did not wake, and the doctors said he needed stronger stimulation.

• Ye Qing told Wang Yanying that Wang Yao had suffered mental trauma and that she might be able to help him wake up.
• Ye Qing used Gardevoir’s Teleport to take Wang Yanying to Wang Yao’s hospital room, where they met Wang Yao’s parents.
• Ye Qing explained Wang Yanying’s connection to Wang Yao and the events from a thousand years earlier, shocking his parents.
• Wang Yanying entered Wang Yao’s room and softly called to him, causing his fingers to move and Gardevoir to sense a brain-wave fluctuation.
• Wang Yao did not wake, and the hospital director told Ye Qing and the others that the stimulation was still insufficient.

Ye Qing got Celebi’s permission for Wang Yanying to stay and care for Wang Yao, then rushed toward the desert after receiving Wangchen’s life-or-death message. He picked up Garchomp’s Mega Stone setting from his grandfather and continued on with his Pokémon.

• Ye Qing asked Celebi to let Wang Yanying stay with Wang Yao, and Celebi agreed.
• Ye Qing received an urgent message and coordinates from Wangchen, then called his grandfather to ask about Garchomp’s Mega Stone setting.
• Ye Qing flew to the Imperial Capital on Garchomp, while a public security team chased them before recognizing Ye Qing and pulling back.

• Gardevoir searched the desert and guided Ye Qing toward the battle while Wangchen and the others struggled against Zou Buyu's forces.
• Zou Buyu ordered his men to kill Li Hu and the Pokémon League members, and Luo Jiujiu was wounded as reinforcements failed to arrive.
• Li Hu sensed Ye Qing approaching, and Zou Buyu's Claydol also detected the incoming Psychic Power.
• Ye Qing arrived with Garchomp and Infernape, whose attacks scattered the surrounding enemies, then Gardevoir healed the injured group.
• Ye Qing released Diancie, but after the sandstorm cleared, Team R had fled without fighting her.

Ye Qing and the others escaped Team R and traveled toward the next city, while Jiang Zimo planned to exploit Ye Qing’s suspicions about Li Hu. After stopping to rest in the mountains, Ye Qing called Li Hu over and asked whether he was with Team R.

• Ye Qing led the group to a Pokémon Center, where they had their Pokémon checked before continuing their journey.
• An exhausted Blaziken, who had followed Garchomp’s scent, watched Ye Qing fly away and considered finding a mount.
• Zou Buyu reported the failed mission to Jiang Zimo, who approved his retreat and explained how Li Hu’s presence and Wang Yao’s unconsciousness could fuel Ye Qing’s doubts.
• Ye Qing landed in the mountains so the exhausted group could rest, and Garchomp tried to hide how badly he wanted his Mega Stone.
• Ye Qing invited Li Hu to talk and asked him whether he was with Team R.

Ye Qing reunited with Xie Yu and his companions, but suspected Li Hu might be a Team R informant until Gardevoir found no sign of deception and Xie Yu vouched for him. As they shared a meal, Xie Yu and the others explained how Team R had captured them and Li Hu had helped them escape.

• Li Hu confirmed that he had helped Xie Yu and the others escape, while Ye Qing questioned his motives and considered whether Team R had planted him as an informant.
• Li Hu prepared to leave, but Xie Yu stopped him and insisted that he had saved their lives; Gardevoir indicated that Li Hu seemed trustworthy.
• Ye Qing apologized to Li Hu and invited everyone to eat together, then the group gathered around food Gengar produced from his belly.
• Xie Yu and his two brothers told Ye Qing that Team R had captured them after exploiting the League's warrant, and Li Hu had rescued them before Wangchen found them outside the base.

As Ye Qing and the others took shelter from a sudden downpour, a fiery Pokémon appeared in the sky and was mistaken for Ho-Oh. It turned out to be Fearow carrying Blaziken, who arrived to challenge Infernape to a rematch.

• Ye Qing had Gardevoir use Confusion to hold an umbrella over the group as heavy rain forced them to shelter and rest.
• A flame-wreathed bird appeared through the rain, and Xie Yu, Zhu Yuanhao, and Chen Siyuan knelt in prayer, believing it was Ho-Oh.
• The bird proved to be Fearow carrying Blaziken, who leapt onto the cliff and sent Fearow plunging into the forest.
• Infernape recognized Blaziken as his old rival and stepped forward to fight, while Ye Qing let them face off.
• Blaziken tossed an Iron Challenge Letter between himself and Infernape to formally begin their match.

Blaziken challenged Infernape to settle their unfinished World Cup duel, but Garchomp ate the challenge letter before the battle began. Infernape and Blaziken fought through the rain, and Infernape gained the upper hand by staying composed and countering Blaziken’s attacks.

• Garchomp mistook Blaziken’s iron Challenge Letter for a snack and ate it, enraging Blaziken before his duel with Infernape.
• Garchomp acted as referee as Infernape and Blaziken traded Quick Attack, Mach Punch, Brave Bird, and Thunder Punch.
• A lightning strike split the tree where Heracross was eating and blasted Heracross, Infernape, and Blaziken away.
• Blaziken used Speed Boost to evade Infernape, who strengthened himself with Bulk Up while Ye Qing watched.
• Blaziken charged with Brave Bird, but Infernape blocked it with Protect and landed a Mach Punch on his face.

Blaziken fought Infernape to a draw with a painful low blow, then agreed to guard Ye Qing’s entrance before leaving after the group woke. Ye Qing returned Lucario’s Mega Stone, prompting Garchomp to remember he still lacked his own.

• Blaziken and Infernape battled in the rain, and Blaziken struck Infernape with a Family-Ending Kick that left him clutching his crotch.
• Ye Qing stopped the fight, recalled Infernape, and assigned Blaziken to guard the entrance for a day.
• After the group rested through the day, Ye Qing let Blaziken leave, and Blaziken rejected Zhu Yuanhao’s offer to become his Pokémon.
• Ye Qing had Gengar retrieve Lucario’s Mega Stone, and Garchomp remembered that Ye Qing had not given him his own Mega Stone.

Ye Qing prepared to challenge the Battle Frontier and asked Dragon Tamer to find six Psych Up TMs so Milotic, Gengar, and Diancie could copy boosted stats. As Ye Qing set out after parting ways with his companions, Kyurem emerged on the East Sea and crossed the frozen water in search of Reshiram.

• Gengar teased Garchomp by offering his Mega Stone to Lucario, and Ye Qing promised Garchomp he could have it.
• Ye Qing told Xie Yu and the others he planned to challenge the Battle Frontier, then saw them, Li Hu, Wangchen, and his junior sister off.
• Ye Qing decided to teach Psych Up to Milotic, Gengar, and Diancie, and asked Dragon Tamer to obtain six TMs.
• Kyurem burst from a forest on the East Sea coast, froze the seawater into an ice bridge, and headed out to sea to find Reshiram.
• Garchomp celebrated receiving Ye Qing's promise of his Mega Stone.

Ye Qing discovered that the Psychic-type Battle Tower was in the dangerous Bermuda Triangle and returned to Alto Mare to prepare for the journey and seek Ailisi’s help. Meanwhile, Giovanni ordered Ye Qing’s elimination and put the Hoopa Project into motion.

• Ye Qing learned that the Battle Tower was in the Bermuda Triangle, decided to stock up on Black Balls, and planned to find Darkrai or Cresselia before Celebi took Yingzi away.
• Ye Qing reached Alto Mare, went to Ailisi’s apartment to ask for help, and was recognized when she opened the door.
• Giovanni inspected Team R’s experiment on an Eevee that could shift between Eevee and Flareon, and ordered Doctor Liu to continue capturing Eevee and seek Zapdos and Articuno.
• Giovanni ordered Su Qi to tell the Ghost-type Elite Four to eliminate Ye Qing, fearing that Ye Qing and Mewtwo could bring down Team R.
• Giovanni ordered Jiang Zimo to start the Hoopa Project and free the Demon God.

Ye Qing learned that Ailisi would meet Darkrai the next night and planned to ask it for help. He told Yingzi that Wang Yao should wake up that night, then returned home to collect a package of TMs.

• Ye Qing visited Ailisi and learned that Darkrai would meet her on her rooftop the next night.
• Ye Qing bought supplies for his planned trip to the Bermuda Triangle.
• Ye Qing visited Wang Yao at the hospital and told Yingzi that Wang Yao should wake up the following night.
• Ye Qing asked Yingzi to invite Wang Yao's parents to the hospital that night, then returned home with Gardevoir.

Ye Qing tested Milotic’s Psych Up by having her copy Gardevoir’s six Calm Minds before battling Bond Phenomenon Infernape, whose defeat left the backyard badly damaged. That night, Ye Qing met Ailisi on a rooftop and waited for Darkrai, who emerged and recognized him.

• Ye Qing had Gardevoir use Calm Mind six times so Milotic could use Psych Up and reach maximum Special Attack and Special Defense.
• Milotic overwhelmed Infernape with Hydro Pump, a sweeping tail strike, and Surf, knocking him out of his Bond Phenomenon form and wrecking the courtyard walls.
• Ye Qing arranged for a construction crew to repair the damage, while Milotic thanked Gardevoir and Ye Qing noted that Infernape could still threaten her in a serious battle.
• Ye Qing waited with Ailisi on a rooftop at midnight for Darkrai, expecting Wang Yao to wake that day.
• Darkrai emerged from a shadow and recognized Ye Qing, convincing Ailisi that the two already knew each other.

Ye Qing brought Darkrai to the hospital to enter Wang Yao’s dream and help wake him, while their families and Pokémon watched anxiously. Darkrai began the attempt, and Wang Yao started trembling as if caught in a nightmare.

• Ye Qing asked Darkrai to help wake Wang Yao, and Darkrai agreed after Ye Qing bluntly threatened to beat him if he refused.
• Ye Qing used Gardevoir’s Teleport to bring Darkrai to Wang Yao’s hospital room, where both families, Yingzi, and Sceptile had gathered.
• Ye Qing had Gardevoir seal the room and called Darkrai out, then used the Spoon Mark to help Darkrai suppress its urge to feed on the patients’ nightmares.
• Ye Qing asked Darkrai to send Yingzi into Wang Yao’s dream, and Darkrai placed a claw on Wang Yao’s head and covered him in black mist.
• Wang Yao began trembling and clawing at the air, his face pale as though he were having a nightmare.
