Ye Qing defeated Prince Bathong to qualify Dragon Country for the final, then fought through a chaotic free-for-all as Wang Yao captured Raikou and Milotic struggled with her place on Ye Qing’s team. Outnumbered in the final contest, Ye Qing revealed Diancie, who knocked out Williams’s Mega Aerodactyl before Williams sent out Darkrai.

• Ye Qing defeated Lee Min-su’s three Pseudo-Legendaries with Gardevoir, Slaking, and Azurill, then beat Prince Bathong’s team with Mega Gengar and Bond Infernape to send Dragon Country into the final.
• Wang Yao captured the wounded Raikou with a Dark Ball, but the ball cracked, leaving him little time to use the Legendary Pokémon.
• Ye Qing comforted Milotic as she worried that she was falling behind the rest of his team, while his other Pokémon bickered around them.
• The host announced a seven-team free-for-all, and Ye Qing registered Infernape, Garchomp, Aggron, Gengar, Gardevoir, and Diancie while Zhao Ling prepared five Perish Song Gengar and a Snorlax.
• The floating-island battle began, and Zhao Ling’s Perish Song and Curse helped unleash widespread eliminations as Ye Qing and the other competitors fought across the arena.

Ye Qing won the Arceus Cup, then defied the Pokémon League to protect Wang Yao after Team R’s schemes turned the two against the League. As Wang Yao remained comatose, Ye Qing sought information about Master Balls and heard an ancient tale of Berry Balls and a wish-granting Pokémon.

• Ye Qing Mega Evolved Diancie and defeated Williams and Mizuno Jeff’s Darkrai and Heatran, winning the Arceus Cup as Jiang Zimo began arranging a case against Wang Yao’s father.
• Jiang Zimo recruited Uncle Dang to spread a story about Director Wang’s arrest, while Ye Qing received the World Championship trophy and returned to rest.
• Wang Yao learned that his parents had been arrested, and Ye Qing flew to Shanhai City and demanded an investigation and their release on bail.
• Wang Yao attacked Luo Moyun at the Dragon Soaring Villa Complex, but Raikou broke free of its Dark Ball and turned on him as the Pokémon League closed in.
• Ye Qing arrived and protected the injured Wang Yao from the League, refusing to surrender him and declaring that he wanted nothing more to do with the Pokémon League.
• Mew, Latias, Latios, Entei, and Mega Mewtwo X joined Ye Qing against the League, while Giovanni ordered Plan B and Ye Qing took Wang Yao to a Pokémon Center.
• Doctors found that electric shock had damaged Wang Yao’s brain and left him in a coma, while the League learned he had belonged to Team R and Ye Qing suspected Giovanni had engineered the conflict.
• Ye Qing asked the League to post a wanted notice for him, left Wang Yao with his parents, and traveled to the Zhang Family to ask Old Master Zhang about Master Balls.
• Ye Qing defeated Old Master Zhang’s Leafeon with Infernape, but learned that the country’s remaining Master Balls had already gone to him and the Luo Family.
• Old Master Zhang told Ye Qing the lost history of a craftsman who created Berry Balls and met a wish-granting Pokémon, which Ye Qing recognized as Jirachi before calling Su Yiqin to arrange a meeting.

Ye Qing traveled a thousand years into the past with Celebi, seeking a way to save it and discovering the village where Master Wang and Wang Yao’s family lived. After Jirachi healed Celebi, Wang Jingke attacked the village, and the arc ended with him charging Master Wang.

• Ye Qing returned to the wreck with Su Yiqin, found a Hide Scroll, and brought the weakened Celebi home after Mew took him away from Alto Mare.
• Celebi asked Ye Qing to save its clan, and Ye Qing traveled with five Pokémon to the past, where he rescued Celebi’s group by seeking help in a village led by Uncle Wang.
• Ye Qing met Wang Yanying and realized she was the Yingzi Wang Yao had remembered, while Master Wang examined the GS Ball and considered how to make a stronger Poké Ball.
• Ye Qing searched for the Life Spring and Jirachi, then returned to the village with the purple Crystal that Madam Zhao gave him after he treated her son’s Pokémon reversion syndrome.
• Wang Yanying’s song awakened Jirachi, and Ye Qing asked it to heal Celebi when the comet appeared.
• Jirachi drew power from the comet and restored Celebi, while Wang Yanying noticed something on Jirachi’s wish tag.
• Wang Jingke led more than a hundred riders to the village, set the surrounding forest on fire, and trapped the villagers as Ye Qing and his allies prepared to fight.
• Wang Jingke accused Master Wang of causing his mother’s death and charged him with a spear while Ye Qing’s Pokémon fought the riders.

Ye Qing defeated Kyurem with Mewtwo, brought Wang Yanying to Wang Yao, and helped Li Hu and Xie Yu escape Team R. As Ye Qing prepared for the Battle Frontier and Darkrai’s help, Darkrai entered Wang Yao’s mind, leaving him trembling in a nightmare.

• Kyurem attacked Ye Qing’s village for the DNA Splicers, but Jirachi’s wish restored the wounded and dead before Kyurem fled.
• Ye Qing returned to his own time, found Kyurem’s cave with Mewtwo, and watched Mewtwo defeat Kyurem.
• Ye Qing brought Wang Yanying to Wang Yao, whose fingers moved when she called to him, and later left her at his bedside.
• Ye Qing flew to the desert and rescued Wangchen, Li Hu, Luo Jiujiu, and the Pokémon League members from Zou Buyu’s forces.
• Xie Yu explained that Li Hu had rescued him and his brothers from Team R, and Blaziken arrived to challenge Infernape before departing.
• Ye Qing resumed his plans to challenge the Battle Frontier as Giovanni ordered Team R to target him and begin the Hoopa Project.
• Ye Qing trained Milotic with Psych Up and met Darkrai, who agreed to help wake Wang Yao.
• Ye Qing brought Darkrai to Wang Yao’s hospital room, where Darkrai entered his mind and Wang Yao began to struggle as if trapped in a nightmare.
