Xu Taiping and his companions shattered the Primordial Lord’s demonic army formation and reached the creature, believing it had held back its power. They discovered that Great Elder Lou had died while holding the Bodhi Mirror Lamp, honored him at the stone stele, and prepared to face the Primordial Lord’s true body.
As the group prepared to confront the Primordial Lord, Old Daoist Huang sacrificed much of his Great Dao Fortune to give them Fortune Tokens, explaining that even a selfish man must remember his humanity. The group accepted his blessing and advanced, while Cloud Crane True Lord and Pearl Relic House Master volunteered to probe the Primordial Lord first.
Li Daoyan had Cloud Crane True Lord and the Pearl Relic House Master test the Primordial Lord before he joined the fight. Their attacks damaged its crystal head, but its changing aura warned them that the battle was far from over.
Xu Taiping and the others struggled to find a way to defeat the Primordial Lord, whose power lay beyond the Heavenly Dao Laws. After Cloud Crane True Lord and the Pearl Relic House Master survived another devastating counterattack, Lotus Eye’s message led Xu Taiping to realize he had to make a move that risked Fairy Lingyue and everyone present.
After Fairy Lingyue helped Xu Taiping commit to risking the lives of those he cherished, he revealed a plan to use the Earth Fruit against the Primordial Lord. The group agreed to trust him, and the Pearl Relic House Master entrusted him with a Sword Embryo for Qu Ningshuang.
Xu Taiping revealed his identity and explained how his Mortal Bone and trials in the Mysterious Wasteland Tower had strengthened him. He asked the elders to lend their lives as stones in his plan to draw the Primordial Lord into a game, and they agreed to stand with him.
Xu Taiping and his allies prepared to let the Earth Fruit grow while they kept the Primordial Lord occupied, using a Liuguang Candle to accelerate the lotus seed’s growth. Cloud Crane True Lord, the Pearl Relic House Master, and Azure-Eyed Evil Lord attacked the Primordial Lord, with Li Daoyan joining their assault as Xu Taiping and Old Daoist Huang moved to support the plan.
Xu Taiping planted the golden lotus seed and fed it soul power while Li Daoyan and the others fought the Primordial Lord. The seed took root, but a more powerful Immortal-Slaying Platform appeared and threatened the fighters.
Xu Taiping and Old Daoist Huang watched the Azure-Eyed Evil Lord battle the Primordial Lord’s endless backlash while the Earth Fruit’s golden lotuses grew. The Primordial Lord’s true body stopped repairing its damaged head as it released its attacks, and the chapter ended with the Azure-Eyed Evil Lord’s Cloud Tower and the Immortal-Slaying Platform shattering together.
Xu Taiping and Old Daoist Huang watched the Earth Fruit grow while the Azure-Eyed Evil Lord and his allies fought the Primordial Lord’s clones. When the first golden lotus bloomed, the Primordial Lord summoned a Bull Demon that attacked Xu Taiping, leaving him facing its saber after the Shurangama Sutra’s power failed.
Azure-Eyed Evil Lord and the others fought the Bull Demon while Xu Taiping guarded the Earth Fruit’s golden lotus. The Bull Demon’s body merged into the black mist after its defeat, and Xu Taiping cut down the Black Armor Divine Maiden’s flying sword as it attacked him.
The Azure-Eyed Evil Lord and Pearl Relic House Master destroyed the Primordial Lord’s manifested backlash while Xu Taiping’s earth fruit rapidly grew golden lotuses. The sudden shattering of their Martial Fortune Tokens warned that an ill omen was about to emerge.
Xu Taiping and his allies prepared for the Primordial Lord’s awakening, but the statue summoned the Blazing Slave, a demoness whose fire and cloud-like powers overwhelmed their defenses. The Azure-Eyed Evil Lord countered her ability to lighten her targets with Thunderous Force and began forcing her down with his Mountain-Sinking sword intent.
The Primordial Lord summoned Strength Slave, who overwhelmed the Azure-Eyed Evil Lord, while Blazing Slave trapped Xu Taiping in a sea of flames. With Xu Taiping in danger and his Moon Soul power nearly spent, Cloud Crane True Lord prepared to sacrifice himself by activating an ascension talisman against the Primordial Lord.
Xu Taiping nearly exhausted himself resisting the Blazing Slave, but Cloud Crane True Lord intervened and revealed a powerful technique that the Pearl Relic House Master identified as Cloudrise Tower’s Cloud Ascension Talisman. The chapter left Xu Taiping stunned as he wondered whether Cloud Crane True Lord had turned himself into a talisman.
Cloud Crane True Lord used the Cloud Ascension Talisman to kill Blazing Slave with tribulation lightning, while Xu Taiping confirmed that nine Earth Fruit golden lotuses had bloomed. Strength Slave then reversed time after the Three-Sword Diagram shattered him, and the chapter ended with Xu Taiping realizing Strength Slave had selectively kept the diagram erased.
Xu Taiping and the Azure-Eyed Evil Lord fought the resurrected Blazing Slave and the Strength Slave after the Primordial Lord reversed time, restoring the battle and undoing Cloud Crane True Lord’s sacrifice. When Po Jun shattered during the Azure-Eyed Evil Lord’s all-out attack, Xu Taiping revealed Kunwu and passed it to him, leaving the Azure-Eyed Evil Lord empowered to continue the fight.
Li Daoyan wielded the reforged Kunwu Sword against Strength Slave, pouring his Sword Qi into it and using the Pearl Relic House Master's True Words to interrupt Strength Slave's time reversal. Strength Slave's fragments continued to threaten a reversal, and Li Daoyan's Sword Domain struck the fragments while also knocking Blazing Slave away from Xu Taiping.
Li Daoyan used the Kunwu Sword’s Thunderflame to slay Strength Slave and Blazing Slave, then learned from the sword’s memories that his former Heavenly Sword Sect companions had continued to trust and believe in him. Grief-stricken, he turned toward the Primordial Lord’s black-crystal statue and prepared to answer their faith.
Li Daoyan ignored Xu Taiping’s warning and used the Kunwu Sword to destroy the Primordial Lord’s True Body, while Fairy Lingyue revealed that the sword had awakened its Heaven Gazing ability. The Primordial Lord’s body burned to ashes, but Xu Taiping was left fearing that its destruction would trigger a hidden danger.
Li Daoyan revealed that the Primordial Lord had manipulated generations of Human Race cultivators into destroying its True Body to evade Heavenly Tribulation and complete a ritual. After the Primordial Lord possessed him, Li Daoyan and Kong Pearl Relic suppressed its power while Li explained why he had chosen to slay it.
Li Daoyan revealed that the Primordial Lord’s possession would open the passage between Ten Abysses and the Shangqing Realm, and explained that he had chosen the future in which Xu Taiping was most likely to survive. As the Primordial Lord’s power overwhelmed the Pearl Relic House Master’s suppression, Li Daoyan prepared to create a fair arena for Xu Taiping to fight the Primordial Lord, and the words “Body Death, Dao Dissipation” appeared.
Li Daoyan crippled his own cultivation to make the Primordial Lord’s possession fair, then passed the Kunwu Sword to Xu Taiping and urged him to keep rising. As the Primordial Lord awakened, Kong Pearl Relic gave Xu Taiping a final set of True Words at the cost of his painting and black hair.
The Primordial Lord released the Origin Demon Seed Powers Whale Suck and Blood Cooling, threatening the Earth Fruit and weakening everyone in the realm. Kong Pearl Relic used his Literary Heart and the True Words “My Heart Is Bright” to hold back the black fog, but the fog broke through, leaving Xu Taiping in darkness.
The Pearl Relic House Master illuminated the dark world with his Literary Heart, weakening the Primordial Lord’s power while Old Daoist Huang warned Xu Taiping about the coming fight. Old Daoist Huang sacrificed himself to place a Misfortune Token on the Primordial Lord, and Xu Taiping prepared to face him after drinking Hidden Immortal Wine.
