Xu Taiping protected Liang Zhu during the Cloudfloat Grotto-Heaven trial, where a demon seed was exposed and Jueyun tested his sword. He then entered the Martial Armory and began fighting for Thunder Sound Banners as he prepared to face the coming calamity.

• Lü Daoxuan and Fairy Lingyue explained Xu Taiping’s time limit and the need to strengthen himself, then Fairy Lingyue carried him from the cavern as demonic qi flooded it.
• Xu Taiping reunited with Bai Yu and Ping'an, learned Liang Zhu was being bullied, and arranged to serve as her guardian in the Heavenly Light Sword Shadows trial.
• Xu Taiping arrived at Cloudfloat Grotto-Heaven as Liang Zhu’s guardian, and Liang Zhu raced Yu Lan beneath Cloudfloat Bridge while Xu Taiping used his sword intent to protect their boat.
• Liang Zhu matched Yu Lan in the lantern trial and pierced a lantern at ten thousand zhang, while Du Qianjiang forced a demon seed from her and Jueyun’s sword intent struck the dark clouds.
• Xu Taiping burned the demon seed, then joined forces with Lin Buyu to face Jueyun, and his sword strike partly undid Jueyun’s seal, and Zhao Qian explained Yuyangzi’s power over the demon seeds.

Xu Taiping won Zhao Tu’s Thunder Sound Banner, learned of the Great Void Calamity, and entered the Scroll of Time to claim Qi Zhou’s martial fortune. As he relived Qi Zhou’s past and tried to protect Tian Li, he reached the battle that would decide Qi Zhou’s fate, where Yun Jiang arrived.

• Xu Taiping defeated Zhao Tu, became the only Heavenly Thunder Commandant, and received Shoushan Copper from a mysterious elder in the Martial Armory.
• Xu Taiping learned from Lü Daoxuan and Fairy Lingyue that the Great Void Calamity threatened the realms and agreed to forge an Immortal Sword when his cultivation allowed.
• Xu Taiping refined an Origin Beginning Clone and entered the Scroll of Time, while Fairy Lingyue set out to seek Taiqing Paradise and left him a message.
• Xu Taiping navigated Buddha-Slaying Town’s time loops, used the Lotus Eye to uncover Qi Zhou’s past, and chose to protect Tian Li despite the deadly consequences.

Xu Taiping completed the Scroll of Time’s trials, inherited the Thirteen Seats of the Abyss, and returned with new powers and urgent duties. As he prepared to forge two Demon-Sealing Swords, Fairy Lingyue departed with Bai Yu and Ping'an, and Xu Taiping began training his avatar in the Blade Ghost’s domain.

• Yun Jiang confronted Qi Zhou, learned why he had protected Tian Li, and asked Xu Taiping to kill him after seeing his memories, and Xu Taiping beheaded Qi Zhou and received his power.
• Yun Jiang led Tian Li and her companions toward the Third Demon Abyss, where she defeated three Demon Emperors but died from the Spirit Transformation Curse, leaving Yun Ling her Dao Seal.
• Ni Zhao and Mister Da defended Tian Li and Yun Ling, summoning Li Daoyan and Yuyang Heavenly Lord before bringing Xu Taiping into the past to face Demon Emperor Wu Xuan.
• Xu Taiping crossed the azure barrier, regained his immense strength, and destroyed Wu Xuan’s forces, and Tian Li’s unborn child ground Wu Xuan to dust, completing Xu Taiping’s tests for the Thirteen Seats.
• Ni Zhao gave Xu Taiping the Abyssal Pavilion inheritance, including the Torch Dragon Ring, Jiazi Pot, and a pearl containing its lost treasure, while Li Daoyan passed on sword techniques and divine abilities.

As a ghost moon brought Yuyangzi and the Corpse Wraiths against Qingxuan, Xu Taiping forged two Demon-Sealing Swords and returned to save Lin Buyu. After Lin Buyu revealed she might leave for the Upper Realm, Xu Taiping prepared to carry the Corpse Demonic Qi to Wilderness Heaven, just as Three Corpses Cave attacked the sect.

• Xu Taiping accepted Blade Ghost’s terms and began reforging Longyuan and Chengying while Blade Ghost trained his Mysterious Origin Avatar.
• A ghost moon appeared over Cloud Cottage Mountain, and Liang Zhu, Lin Buyu, and Huailü fought Ghost Corpses as attacks spread across Qingxuan.
• Yuyangzi targeted Forget-Me-Not Peak, where Lin Buyu and Liang Zhu fought to protect Xu Taiping during his seclusion.
• Xu Taiping completed Longyuan and Chengying, whose spirits defeated the Demon Emperor’s remnant soul and resolved his Tribulation of Time.
• After sensing Lin Buyu’s distress, Xu Taiping rushed to Forget-Me-Not Peak and fought Yuyangzi, nearly losing control as he pursued the fleeing Corpse Demonic Qi.
• Lin Buyu calmed Xu Taiping and told him she might leave for the Upper Realm, while they promised to meet through the Lingxiao Society in two hundred years.
• Lü Daoxuan sent Xu Taiping toward Vulture Peak to seek a Buddha Statue, while Zhao Qian revealed new dangers involving Yuyangzi’s Qi and Ningchan Cave.
